In view of that resolution and taking into account deliberations within the common system and recommendations of the Joint Inspection Unit, the Secretary-General, following a review of the standards of accommodation of air travel in 1983, decided to retain economy class at the least costly airfare structure regularly available as the basic standard of accommodation.
