Mr. Soltanieh (Islamic Republic of Iran), speaking on behalf of the Asian Group, said that the Group condemned the recent terror activity in Mumbai, India, and expressed its condolences to the Government and people of India.

Mr. Khan (Indonesia), speaking on behalf of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), said that to ensure achievement of the MDGs by 2015 ASEAN had implemented a five-part road map focusing on advocacy and linkages, knowledge, resources, expertise and regional cooperation and regional public goods.

Mr. Zinsou (Benin), speaking on behalf of the Group of Least Developed Countries, said that the Istanbul Programme of Action was important, with the situation of least developed countries worsening and many gains being lost following crises and adverse weather events.

Mr. Salem (Egypt), speaking on behalf of the Group of African States, said that the Internet-based activities of the Programme of Assistance benefited many lawyers and students in developing countries, fulfilling the purpose for which it had been originally established at the initiative of the African States.
46 - السيد سالم (مصر): تحدّث نيابة عن جماعة الدول الأفريقية وقال إن الأنشطة التي تعتمد على شبكة الإنترنت لبرنامج المساعدة تفيد العديد من المحامين والطلاب في بلدان نامية وتحقِّق الغرض من وضع البرنامج أصلاً بمبادرة من الدول الأفريقية.

49. Mr. Pham Quang Hieu (Viet Nam), speaking on behalf of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), said that ASEAN highly appreciated the efforts of the Secretary-General and the Office of Legal Affairs and its affiliates to expand international law training and dissemination activities within the framework of the Programme.

Mr. Rivera Mora (Observer for El Salvador), speaking on behalf of the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States (GRULAC), noted that, according to document IDB.40/CRP.3, the collection rate of assessed contributions had reached 88 per cent by November 2012, slightly higher than that for the same period the two previous years.

14. Mr. Badr (Egypt), speaking on behalf of the New Agenda Coalition, said that while the Coalition remained fully committed to the implementation of all three pillars of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, its primary focus was on nuclear disarmament.

4. Mr. Badr (Egypt), speaking on behalf of the Group of Non-Aligned States parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, noted that the wording of agenda item 16 made it clear that Main Committee I should not only review the Treaty but also take into account the decisions and resolutions agreed upon at the 1995 and 2000 Review Conferences.
4 - السيد بدر (مصر): تحدّث نيابة عن مجموعة دول عدم الانحياز الأطراف في معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية وأشار إلى أن صيغة البند 16 من جدول الأعمال توضّح أنه ينبغي ألاّ يقتصر دور اللجنة الرئيسية الأولى على مجرد استعراض المعاهدة بل ينبغي أن يأخذ في الاعتبار أيضاً المقررات والقرارات التي تم الاتفاق عليها في المؤتمرين الاستعراضيين اللذين عُقدا في عامي 1995 و 2000.

33. Mr. Shushlebin (Russian Federation), speaking on behalf of the delegations of the Russian Federation and the United States of America, said that the Treaty between the United States of America and the Russian Federation on Measures for the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms, signed in Prague on 8 April 2010, was an important step on the path towards nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation.
33 - السيد شوشليبين (الاتحاد الروسي): تحدّث نيابة عن وفد الاتحاد الروسي ووفد الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وقال إن المعاهدة المعقودة بين الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والاتحاد الروسي بشأن اتخاذ تدابير لزيادة خفض الأسلحة الهجومية الاستراتيجية والحدّ منها والتي جرى التوقيع عليها في براغ في 8 نيسان/أبريل 2010 هي خطوة هامة في اتجاه نـزع السلاح النووي وعدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية.
