In another respect, the Council endorsed the endeavours being made for national reconciliation in Yemen and expressed the hope that concerted efforts would be made by all to preserve the unity and cohesion of the country.

The achievement of national reconciliation in Somalia and the improvement of security and stability in that country and the entire Horn of Africa are at the forefront of our concerns, embodying our historical and strategic relationships, which are inextricably intertwined with all the States of the region.
