Reaffirming that the intentional killing of persons entitled to protection as civilians is prohibited by customary international criminal law,

2005/2- حظر العمليات العسكرية الموجهة ضد المرافق، ووسائل النقل الطبية والموظفين الطبيين الذين تحق لهم الحماية أثناء النزاعات المسلحة

1. Strongly emphasizes that no alleged ground, political, philosophical, religious or military, justifies attacks against persons entitled to protection as civilians;
1- تشدد بقوة على أنه لا يوجد أي أساس مدَّعى، سياسي أو فلسفي أو ديني أو عسكري، يبرر الاعتداءات على الأشخاص الذين تحق لهم الحماية بوصفهم مدنيين؛

2. Confirms that anyone, including members of the police or security forces of a State, who participates in an intentional attack against persons entitled to protection as civilians, which is prohibited by customary international criminal law, is guilty of an international crime;
2- تؤكد أن كل شخص، بمن في ذلك أفراد الشرطة أو قوات الأمن التابعة للدولة، يشارك في اعتداء متعمد على أشخاص تحق لهم الحماية بوصفهم مدنيين، وهو الأمر الذي يحظره القانون الدولي العرفي، يكون مذنباً بارتكاب جريمة دولية؛

3. Confirms also that anyone who attempts intentionally to attack persons entitled to protection as civilians, which is prohibited by customary international criminal law, is guilty of an international crime;

The reality is that Palestinian families -- civilians who under international law are entitled to protection -- are living under Israel's occupation in constant terror and fear of the next attack that will claim yet another innocent life and cause even more suffering, loss and hardship.
وواقع الأمر أن الأُسر الفلسطينية - التي تتألف من مدنيين تحق لهم الحماية بموجب القانون الدولي - تعيش في ظل الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في رعب وخوف دائمين ترقبا للهجمة التالية التي ستحصد أرواحا أخرى بريئة وتتسبب في مزيد من المعاناة والفقد والمشاق.

It stresses the importance of combating impunity for perpetrators of international crimes, and confirms, inter alia, that anyone - including members of the security forces - who participates in an intentional attack against persons entitled to protection as civilians, which is prohibited by customary international criminal law, is guilty of an international crime.
