(a) " Carbon dioxide capture and storage " (CCS) means the capture and transport of carbon dioxide from anthropogenic sources of emissions, and the injection of the captured carbon dioxide into an underground geological storage site for long-term isolation from the atmosphere;
(أ) يُقصد ﺑ " احتجاز ثاني أكسيد الكربون وتخزينه " احتجاز ثاني أكسيد الكربون من مصادر الانبعاثات البشرية المنشأ ونقله، وحقن ثاني أكسيد الكربون المحتجز في موقع تخزين جيولوجي تحت الأرض لعزله لمدة طويلة عن الغلاف الجوي؛

(e) The " closure " of a geological storage site means the completion of the sealing of the geological storage site, including the appropriate plugging of wells relating to the geological storage site;
(ﻫ) يُقصد ﺑ " إغلاق " موقع تخزين جيولوجي اكتمال إحكام سد موقع التخزين الجيولوجي، بما في ذلك سد الآبار المتصلة بموقع التخزين الجيولوجي سدّاً مناسباً؛

(أ) أهلية أنشطة مشاريع احتجاز ثاني أكسيد الكربون وتخزينه التي تنطوي على نقل ثاني أكسيد الكربون من بلد إلى آخر أو التي تنطوي على مواقع تخزين جيولوجي موجودة في أكثر من بلد واحد؛

(i) " History matching " means the process of comparing observed results from the monitoring and measurement of a geological storage site with the results of the predictive numerical modelling of the behaviour of carbon dioxide injected into the geological storage site, and the use of the observed results to calibrate and update numerical models and modelling results.
(ط) يُقصد ﺑ " المواءمة التاريخية " عملية مقارنة النتائج الملاحظة من رصد موقع تخزين جيولوجي ما وقياس خصائصه مع نتائج النمذجة الرقمية التنبؤية لنشاط ثاني أكسيد الكربون المحقون في موقع التخزين الجيولوجي، واستعمال النتائج الملاحظة لمعايرة النماذج الرقمية ونتائج النمذجة وتحديثها.

(d) Provide for timely and effective remedial measures to stop or control any unintended seepage of carbon dioxide, to restore the integrity of a geological storage site, and to restore long-term environmental quality significantly affected by a CCS project activity;
(د) تنص على تدابير تصحيحية فعالة تُتّخذ في الوقت المناسب لوقف أي نضح غير مقصود لثاني أكسيد الكربون أو التحكم فيه، واستعادة سلامة بنية موقع تخزين جيولوجي ما، واستعادة النوعية البيئية الطويلة الأجل المتأثرة تأثراً كبيراً بنشاط من أنشطة مشروع احتجاز ثاني أكسيد الكربون وتخزينه؛

(a) International law and frameworks relevant to CCS project activities which involve the transport of carbon dioxide from one country to another or which involve geological storage sites that are located in more than one country;
(أ) القانون الدولي والإطارات ذات الصلة بأنشطة مشاريع احتجاز ثاني أكسيد الكربون وتخزينه التي تنطوي على نقل ثاني أكسيد الكربون من بلد إلى آخر أو التي تنطوي على مواقع تخزين جيولوجي موجودة في أكثر من بلد؛

(f) Provide a basis for remedial measures, including plans for responses that can stop or control any unintended emissions from surface CCS installations and seepage of carbon dioxide, restore the integrity of a geological storage site, and restore long-term environmental quality significantly affected by a CCS project activity.
(و) يوفر أساساً للتدابير التصحيحية، بما فيها خطط الاستجابات التي يمكن أن توقف أي انبعاثات غير مقصودة من المنشآت السطحية لاحتجاز ثاني أكسيد الكربون وتخزينه وأي نضح لثاني أكسيد الكربون، أو تتحكم فيهما، وتعيد سلامة بنية موقع تخزين جيولوجي ما، وتعيد النوعية البيئية الطويلة الأجل المتأثرة تأثراً كبيراً بنشاط مشروع لاحتجاز ثاني أكسيد الكربون وتخزينه.
