The thirteenth and final preambular paragraph notes the convening, on 15 July 1999, for the first time, of a Conference of High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention on measures to enforce the Convention on the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem, and welcomes the statement adopted by the participating High Contracting parties.

7. The participants strongly supported the convening of the conference on measures to enforce the Convention in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including Jerusalem, as recommended in General Assembly resolutions ES-10/3, 4 and 5.
٧ - وأيد المشتركون بقوة عقد اجتماع بشأن تدابير إنفاذ الاتفاقية في اﻷراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس، كما أوصت بذلك قرارات الجمعية العامة د إ ط - ١٠/٣ و ٤ و ٥.

It is therefore essential that the conference of the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention is convened as soon as possible on measures to enforce the Convention in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem, and to ensure its respect in accordance with common article 1 of all four Geneva Conventions.
ومن ثم، من الضروري أن ينعقد مؤتمر اﻷطراف المتعاقدة السامية في أقرب فرصة ممكنة ليتناول تدابير إنفاذ الاتفاقية في الأراضي الفلسطينيـة المحتلـة، بمـا فيها القـدس، ولكفالة احترامها وفقا للمادة ١ المشتركة في جميع اتفاقيات جنيف الأربع.

The draft resolution before us, of which Morocco is a sponsor, reiterates the recommendations made by the General Assembly in its previous resolutions, particularly that of convening a conference of the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention on measures to enforce the Convention in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem.
إن مشروع القرار المعروض علينا الذي تقدمه المغرب، يؤكد من جديد التوصيات الصادرة عن الجمعية العامة في قراراتها السابقة، ولا سيما التوصيات المتعلقة بعقد مؤتمر لﻷطراف المتعاقدة السامية في اتفاقية جنيف بشأن تدابير إنفاذ الاتفاقية في اﻷرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما في ذلك القدس.

The resolution, inter alia, recommended that the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War convene a conference on measures to enforce the Convention in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem, and to ensure its respect, in accordance with common article 1.

The Palestinian side would make every effort to implement that resolution, including working with the Swiss Government towards reconvening a Conference of High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention to consider measures to enforce the Convention in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem.

4. The Committee had noted the convening, on 15 July 1999, of the Conference of the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention on measures to enforce the Convention in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including Jerusalem, and the statement adopted at its conclusion.
4 - وأحاطت اللجنة علما بانعقاد مؤتمر الأطراف السامية المتعاقدة في اتفاقية جنيف الرابعة بشأن تدابير إنفاذ الاتفاقية في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس، في 15 تموز/يوليه 1999، وبالبيان الذي اعتمد في ختام المؤتمر.

We urge the Government of Switzerland, in its capacity as the depositary of the Fourth Geneva Convention, to convene the meeting of experts of the High Contracting Parties in accordance with resolution ES-10/4. Singapore also urges the High Contracting Parties, in compliance with the aforementioned resolutions, to convene a conference on measures to enforce the Convention in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem.
ونحث حكومة سويسرا، بوصفها الوديع لاتفاقية جنيف الرابعة، أن تعقد اجتماع خبراء اﻷطراف المتعاقدة السامية طبقا للقرار دإط - ١٠/٤ كما تحث سنغافورة اﻷطراف المتعاقدة السامية على عقد مؤتمر بشأن تدابير إنفاذ الاتفاقية في اﻷراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس، امتثالا للقرارات السالفة الذكر.
