To invite the Executive Director of UNEP and the Director-General of FAO to conduct the proposed joint UNEP-FAO review of the implementation of the synergies decisions and related decisions taken during the simultaneous extraordinary meetings for consideration by the conferences of the Parties at their ordinary meetings, in 2013.

4. invites the Executive Director to convey the contents of paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 (a) to (c) of the present resolution to the preparatory committee at its organizational session.

4. invites the Executive Director to convene the constituting meeting of the Committee, if possible during 1999, in order to decide on its rules of procedure and to formulate its main functions and activities with a view to strengthening the cooperation between local authorities and all other stakeholders in regard to the implementation of the Habitat Agenda and local Agenda 21s;

invites the Executive Director of UNODC to bring to the attention of the Commission the conclusions and recommendations of the third Summit and the results of paragraph 4 [of the present resolution (resolution16/5)].
تدعو المدير التنفيذي لمكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة أن يسترعي انتباه اللجنة إلى استنتاجات مؤتمر القمّة الثالث وتوصياته، وإلى النتائج المترتّبة على الفقرة 4 [من هذا القرار (القرار 16/5)].

5. invites the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime to bring to the attention of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice the conclusions and recommendations of the third Summit and the results of paragraph 4 above.

2. invites the Executive Director to consider inclusion in the Global Plan of Action and the work programme of the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat) for the biennium 1996-1997 subsections specifically reflecting the problems and needs of countries with economies in transition;
٢ - تدعو المدير التنفيذي الى النظر، في حدود الموارد المتاحة، في مقترحات بشأن تضمين خطـــة العمل العالمية وبرنامج عمل مركز اﻷمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية )الموئل( لفترة السنتين ١٩٩٦-١٩٩٧ اﻷبواب الفرعية التي تعكس بصورة محددة مشاكل واحتياجات البلدان التي تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقالية؛

2. invites the Executive Director of the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat) to pursue efforts for mobilizing financial and technical support from the international community, especially the industrialized countries, and the private sector for the implementation of the Habitat Agenda and related national plans of action;

17. invites the Executive Director of UN-Habitat to present to the General Assembly at its sixty-seventh session, as appropriate, the outcomes of the governance review process, for consideration by the Assembly at its sixty-eighth session, and encourages the Executive Director and the Committee of Permanent Representatives to continue their efforts to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and accountability of UN-Habitat;

1. invites the Executive Director of the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat) fully to take into account the needs of countries with economies in transition in the course of developing strategies and programmes of cooperation with them on the basis of provisions of the Habitat Agenda,1 in particular its paragraphs 202 (c) and (i);
١ - تدعو المدير التنفيذي ﻷن يأخذ في الاعتبار الكامل حاجة البلدان التي تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقال أثناء تطوير الاستراتيجيات والبرامج للتعاون معها إستنادا إلى الأحكام الواردة في جدول أعمال الموئل،)١( وبخاصة الفقرتين ٢٠٢ )ج( و)ط(؛

1. invites the Executive Director to explore and, if possible, to enter into an inter-agency agreement for the United Nations Environment Programme to extend the services of its Ombudsman Unit to the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat) on a no-cost basis until the eighteenth session of the Commission on Human Settlements;
١ - تدعو المدير التنفيذي إلى البحث في، وإن أمكن، الوصول إلى اتفاق مشترك بين الوكالات يدعو برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للبيئة إلى ضمان تقديم خدمات وحدة أمين المظالم التابعة له، إلى مركز اﻷمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية )الموئل( بصورة مجانية، وذلك حتى موعد إنعقاد الدورة الثامنة عشرة للجنة المستوطنات البشرية؛

5. invites the Executive Director of the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat) to continue to provide the permanent representatives to the Centre with regular comprehensive and transparent updates on the financial status of the preparatory process for the special session and its possible consequences for the preparatory activities;
5 - تدعو المدير التنفيذي لمركز الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية (الموئل) إلى مواصلة تزويد الممثلين الدائمين لدى المركز بصفة دورية بمعلومات مستكملة شاملة وشفافة عن الوضع المالي للعملية التحضيرية للدورة الاستثنائية والنتائج التي يمكن أن تترتب عليها بالنسبة للأنشطة التحضيرية؛

2. calls upon the Executive Director to seek the views of States on visible “catch-phrases” that can assist in the global advocacy and mobilization of support towards the implementation of the Habitat Agenda and to report thereon to the Commission at its eighteenth session;
٢ - تدعو المدير التنفيذي إلى أن يطﱠلع على آراء الدول حول " العبارات المتفق عليها " التي يمكن أن تسهم في المناصرة العالمية وتعبئة الدعم في سبيل تنفيذ جدول أعمال الموئل، وإلى أن يقدم تقريرا بذلك إلى اللجنة في دورتها الثامنة عشرة؛

2. calls upon the Executive Director of the United Nations International Drug Control Programme to complete the implementation of the recommendations contained in the above-mentioned reports and to develop existing reforms, including the development of synergies between the different elements of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime;
2- تدعو المدير التنفيذي لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للمراقبة الدولية للمخدرات إلى العمل على استكمال تنفيذ التوصيات الواردة في التقارير المذكورة أعلاه، وإلى تطوير الإصلاحات الجارية، بما في ذلك تعزيز جوانب التعاضد بين مختلف عناصر مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة؛

(b) To invite the Executive Director of UNEP, in consultation with the Director-General of FAO, in providing the secretariat functions of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions, to establish, through the executive secretaries of the three conventions, taking into account the experiences gained during the interim period, the following joint services:
