(f) Further intensify its efforts to eliminate bullying and violence in schools, including through teaching human rights, peace and tolerance.

Recalling its general recommendations No. 27 (2000) on discrimination against Roma and No. 30 (2009) on discrimination against non-citizens, the Committee recommends that the State party continue to strengthen its efforts to protect Roma children and immigrant children from bullying in schools.

While noting the reduction of bullying in schools achieved through the KiVa programme and the State party's efforts to reduce negative stereotyping of Roma through rap-music television spots aimed at young people, the Committee remains concerned at the persistence of bullying of Roma children and immigrant children in schools (arts. 2 and 7).
