Indeed, the new draft programme and budget for 2006 and 2007, prepared by the Director-General for consideration by the Executive Board and General Conference of UNESCO has designated the promotion of interfaith dialogue as a flagship activity of the organization.

The Assembly also invited the Secretary-General to bring the promotion of interreligious dialogue to the attention of Governments and relevant international organizations and to submit a report thereon, including all views received, to the Assembly at its sixtieth session.
