Moreover, Turkey noted that in considering the rectification of the legal status of CESCR, the ongoing treaty body reform process should be taken into account, including the proposal for a unified standing treaty-monitoring body.

24. Having rendered this Opinion, the Working Group requests the Government to take the necessary steps to remedy the situation of Mr. Naim El Haj in conformity with the norms and principles set forth in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
