(b) The United Nations Appeals Tribunal shall, under conditions prescribed in its statute and rules, exercise appellate jurisdiction over an appeal of a judgement rendered by the United Nations Dispute Tribunal submitted by either party.

As the statute of the Appeals Tribunal makes no provision for such a challenge, except in the context of an appeal filed against a " judgement rendered by the United Nations Dispute Tribunal " (art. 2.1 of the Appeals Tribunal statute), the Appeals Tribunal has had to develop procedures to dispose of such issues.
ونظرا لأن النظام الأساسي لمحكمة الاستئناف لا ينص على حدوث هذا التحدي، إلا في سياق " طعن يقدم في حكم تصدره محكمة الأمم المتحدة للمنازعات " (المادة 2-1 من النظام الأساسي لمحكمة الاستئناف)، فقد كان على محكمة الاستئناف أن تضع إجراءات لمعالجة تلك المسائل.
