The General Assembly may wish to request the Commission for Social Development to take up this task at its forty-second session in 2004.

30. requests the Commission for Social Development, in view of the scope of its work, to consider at its next session the composition of the membership of the Commission and the frequency of its sessions and to make recommendations thereon to the Economic and Social Council;
٣٠ - تطلب إلى لجنة التنمية الاجتماعية أن تقوم، في دورتها القادمة، في ضوء نطاق عمل اللجنة، بالنظر في مسألة تكوين عضويتها وتواتر انعقاد دوراتها، وبتقديم توصيات في هذا الصدد إلى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي؛

2. requests the Commission for Social Development at its thirty-fourth session to consider further the draft world programme of action for youth towards the year 2000 and beyond as a matter of priority and to submit it, through the Economic and Social Council, to the General Assembly at its fiftieth session;
٢ - تطلب إلى لجنة التنمية الاجتماعية أن تواصل في دورتها الرابعة والثلاثين، النظر في مشروع برنامج العمل العالمي للشباب حتى سنة ٢٠٠٠ وما بعدها بوصفه مسألة ذات أولوية وأن تقدمه، عن طريق المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الخمسين؛

'15. requests the Commission for Social Development to establish an in-session working group at its thirty-fifth session to consider the major findings of the fourth review and appraisal of the implementation of the International Plan of Action on Ageing and a programme for the observance of the International Year of Older Persons, 1999;
" ١٥ - تطلب إلى لجنة التنمية الاجتماعية أن تنشئ في دورتها الخامسة والثلاثين فريقا عاملا يجتمع في أثناء الدورة للنظر في النتائج الرئيسية لرابع استعراض وتقييم لتنفيذ خطة العمل الدولية للشيخوخة، وفي برنامج للاحتفال بالسنة الدولية لكبار السن، وهي سنة ١٩٩٩؛

14. requests the Commission for Social Development at its forty-fifth session to elaborate the five priority areas mentioned above and to make recommendations on a supplement to the World Programme of Action to the General Assembly, to be adopted at its sixty-second session, taking into consideration other emerging issues of particular relevance to youth;
14- تطلب إلى لجنة التنمية الاجتماعية أن تقوم، في دورتها الخامسة والأربعين، بصياغة المجالات الخمسة ذات الأولوية المذكورة أعلاه وأن تقدم توصيات إلى الجمعية العامة بشأن إصدار ملحق لبرنامج العمل العالمي، لاعتمادها في دورتها الثانية والستين، على أن تؤخذ بعين الاعتبار القضايا الناشئة الأخرى التي تهم الشباب بصفة خاصة؛

59. In order to facilitate the review and appraisal exercise, the Assembly may wish to request the Commission for Social Development to clarify the role of the regional commissions in facilitating the review and appraisal of the Plan of Action.
59 - تيسيرا لممارسة الاستعراض والتقييم، قد ترغب الجمعية العامة في أن تطلب إلى لجنة التنمية الاجتماعية توضيح دور اللجان الإقليمية في تيسير استعراض وتقييم العمل.
