The purpose of this exercise was to operationalize and develop further the criteria, thus contributing to mainstreaming the right to development in policies and operational activities of relevant actors at the national, regional and international levels, including multilateral financial, trade and development institutions.
وكان الغرض من هذا العمل زيادة تفعيل وتطوير المعايير ومن ثم الإسهام في تعميم مراعاة الحق في التنمية في جميع السياسات والأنشطة التنفيذية التي تقوم بها الجهات الفاعلة ذات الصلة على الصعيد الوطني والإقليمي والدولي، بما فيها المؤسسات المالية والتجارية والإنمائية المتعددة الأطراف.

The criteria and sub-criteria are also aimed at contributing to mainstreaming the right to development into the policies and operational activities of relevant actors, and at evaluating the human rights implications of their policies and programmes.
