40. At its fortyfirst session, the Committee decided to send reminders to all State parties whose initial reports were three or more years overdue and, following these reminders, six of them submitted an initial report to the Committee: Ethiopia, Ghana, Ireland, Mongolia, the Syrian Arab Republic and Turkmenistan.
40- قررت اللجنة، في دورتها الحادية والأربعين، أن ترسل إشعاراً إلى الدول الأطراف التي تأخر موعد تقديم تقاريرها الأولية بثلاث سنوات أو أربع، وبعد هذه الرسائل التذكيرية، قدمت ستّ منها تقريراً أولياً إلى اللجنة وهي: إثيوبيا وآيرلندا وتركمانستان والجمهورية العربية السورية وغانا ومنغوليا.

In decision 2003/112 the Commission at its fifty-eighth session approved the nomination of Ms. Frey as Special Rapporteur and requested her to submit a preliminary report to the SubCommission at its fifty-fifth session, a progress report at its fifty-sixth session and a final report at its fifty-seventh session.

In its resolution 1998/5 of 20 August 1998, the Sub—Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities decided to appoint Mr. Marc Bossuyt as Special Rapporteur with the task of preparing a study on the concept and practice of affirmative action, and requested him to submit a preliminary report to the Sub—Commission at its fifty—first session.
1- قررت اللجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية الأقليات، في قرارها 1998/5 المؤرخ في 20 آب/أغسطس 1998، تعيين السيد مارك بوسويت مقرراً خاصاً مكلفاً بمهمة إعداد دراسة عن مفهوم وممارسات العمل الإيجابي، وطلبت إليه أن يقدم تقريراً أولياً إلى اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها الحادية والخمسين.
