In paragraph 36 of its resolution 65/289, the General Assembly underlined the need for improvements in the management of ground transportation in order to achieve maximum operational efficiency, and urged the Secretary-General to accelerate and strengthen his efforts in that regard and to submit concrete proposals in the next overview report on the financing of the United Nations peacekeeping operations.
