Article 155, paragraph 1, prescribes the penalty of imprisonment for a period of not less than one year and not more than three years for any person who abandons his newborn child or entrusts him to another person.
فالفقرة ١ من المادة ١٥٥ تقرر عقوبة الحبس لمدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تزيد على ثلاث سنوات لمن تخلى عن وليده أو عهد به إلى شخص آخر.

If the victim of the offence is under 21 years of age, the punishment is increased to imprisonment for a period of not less than one year and not more than five years and a fine of not less than 1,000 and not more than 5,000 Syrian pounds.
وتشدّد العقوبة في حال كون من وقعت عليه الجريمة لم يتم الحادية والعشرين من عمره إذ تصبح العقوبة الحبس لا تقل عن سنة ولا تزيد على خمس سنوات، وتصبح الغرامة لا تقل عن ألف ليرة ولاتزيد عن خمسة آلاف ليرة.

Under article 3 of the same Act, any person who takes women out of the country for the purpose of trafficking and prostituting them is punished with imprisonment of not less than one year and not more than five years and a fine of 1,000 to 5,000 Syrian pounds.
ويعاقب القانون المذكور في المادة الثالثة منه كل من يقوم بنقل النساء خارج سورية بقصد الاتجار والاشتغال بالدعارة بالحبس مدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تزيد عن خمس سنوات وبغرامة من ألف ليرة إلى خمسة آلاف ليرة.

Under article 5 of the Act, it is forbidden to bring women into Syria for the purpose of prostitution. Those who perpetrate such an offence are punished with imprisonment for a period of not less than one year and not more than five years and a fine of 1,000 to 5,000 Syrian pounds.
ويمنع القانون في مادته الخامسة إدخال النساء إلى سورية بهدف ممارسة الدعارة و يعاقب مرتكبي هذا الفعل بالحبس مدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تزيد عن خمس سنوات وغرامة من ألف ليرة إلى خمسة آلاف ليرة.

Every person who brings a person into the SAR for purposes of prostitution and fornication, or who facilitates or aids and abets the entry of such a person, shall be liable to a term of imprisonment of not less than one year and not more than five years and a fine of 100 to 500 Egyptian pounds in the Egyptian region and of LS 1,000 to LS 5,000 in the Syrian region.
كل من أدخل إلى الجمهورية العربية المتحدة شخصاً أو سهل له دخولها لارتكاب الفجور أو الدعارة يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تزيد على خمس سنوات وبغرامة من مائة جنيه إلى خمسمائة جنية في الإقليم المصري ومن ألف ليرة إلى خمسة آلاف ليرة في الإقليم السوري.

Every person who opens or manages a house of fornication or prostitution or by any means aids and abets in the management of such a house shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of not less than one year and not more than three years and a fine of not less than 100 Egyptian pounds and not more than 300 Egyptian pounds in the Egyptian region and not less than LS 1,000 and not more than LS 3,000 in the Syrian region.
كل من فتح أو أدار محلاً للفجور أو الدعارة أو عاون بأية طريقة كانت في إدارته يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تزيد على ثلاث سنوات وبغرامة لا تقل عن مائة جنيه ولا تزيد على ثلاثمائة جنيه في الإقليم المصري ولا تقل عن ألف ليرة ولا تزيد على ثلاثة آلاف ليرة في الإقليم السوري.

Section 6 provides that whoever procures any woman to become a prostitute or who, with intent that she may, for the purpose of prostitution, become the inmate of a brothel, persuades a woman to leave her usual place of abode shall be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to a period not less than one year and not more than three years.
وتنص المادة ٦ على أن كل من يحرض امرأة على أن تصبح بغية، أو أن تصبح عن قصد، لغرض الدعارة، نزيلة بيت للدعارة، أو إغواء امرأة على ترك مسكنها المعتاد، يعاقب بالسجن المشدد لمدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تتجاوز ثلاث سنوات.

Under article 8 of the Act, anyone who opens places of prostitution or debauchery or who in any way assists in the management of such places is punished with imprisonment for a period of not less than one year and not more than three years and a fine of not less than 1,000 and not more than 3,000 Syrian pounds.
وأما فيما يتعلق بفتح محلات للدعارة يعاقب القانون ذاته في مادته الثامنة كل من يفتح أو يدير محلاً للفجور أو الدعارة أو يعاون بأي طريقة كانت في إدارته بالحبس مدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تزيد عن ثلاث سنوات وبغرامة لا تقل عن ألف ليرة ولا تزيد عن ثلاثة آلاف ليرة.

(b) Anyone who, without a licence, trades in, imports, exports or repairs any of the arms listed in schedule 2 of this Law shall be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of not less than one year and not more than three years and/or a fine not exceeding RO 1,000.
)ب( يعاقب بالسجن مدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تزيد على ثلاث سنوات وبغرامة لا تزيد على ألف ريال عماني أو بإحدى هاتين العقوبتين كل من اتجر أو استورد أو صدر أو أصلح بغير ترخيص سلاحا من اﻷسلحة المبينة بالقائمة رقم )٢( من هذا القانون؛

145. The law provides that every person who knowingly aids and abets prostitution shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of not less than one year and not more than five years and a fine of LS 1,000 to LS 5,000 in the Syrian region (Anti-Prostitution Act, art. 3).
145- يعاقب القانون كل من ساعد على البغاء مع علمه به بالحبس مدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تزيد على خمس سنوات وبغرامة من ألف ليرة إلى خمسة آلاف ليرة في الإقليم السوري (المادة 3 من قانون الدعارة).

The expression “shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with fine or with both”, contained in section 8 of the Suppression of Prostitution Act, 1949, was changed to the expression “shall be punished with imprisonment for a term not less than one year and not more than five years and may also be liable to a fine”.
وقد عُدلت العبارة " يعاقب بالسجن لمدة تصل إلى ثلاث سنوات أو بالغرامة أو بهما معا " الواردة في المادة ٨ من قانون حظر البغاء لعام ١٩٤٩، لتصبح " يعاقب بالسجن لمدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تزيد على خمس سنوات ويجوز أن توقع عليه غرامة أيضا " .

124. وقد عُدلت العبارة " يعاقب بالسجن لمدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تتجاوز ثلاث سنوات " الواردة في الفقرة الفرعية )١( من المادة ٥ من قانون حظر البغاء لعام ١٩٤٩، لتحل محلها العبارة " يعاقب بالسجن لمدة لا تقل عن سنة ولا تتجاوز خمس سنوات و يجوز أن توقع عليه غرامة أيضا " .
