During the workshop, Parties and organizations reported a wide range of activities related to facilitating the integration of climate risk assessment and management and DRR strategies into national policies and programmes.
16- وخلال حلقة العمل، أبلغت الأطراف والمنظمات عن مجموعة كبيرة من الأنشطة المتصلة بتيسير إدماج تقييم وإدارة المخاطر المناخية واستراتيجيات الحد من مخاطر الكوارث في السياسات والبرامج الوطنية.

To facilitate the integration of climate risk assessment and management and DRR into development policies and programmes, practical tools need to be developed further.

Unless they are " internalized " within the development planning process, outcomes of climate risk assessment and management and DRR will be limited and difficult to sustain.

With regard to the current lack of empirical evidence for integration of climate risk assessment and management and DRR strategies into national policies and programmes, UNDP will pilot the integration of adaptation and DRR into development planning in four countries (with an intention to scale up to 35 countries in the next few years) with a focus on institutional capacity-building and technical support.
51- وفيما يتعلق بانعدام الأدلة التجريبية حالياً لإدماج استراتيجيات تقييم وإدارة المخاطر المناخية والحد من مخاطر الكوارث في السياسات والبرامج الوطنية، سيقود برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي عملية إدماج التكيف والحد من مخاطر الكوارث في التخطيط الإنمائي في أربعة بلدان (المقصود زيادة عددها إلى 35 بلداً في السنوات القليلة القادمة) مع التركيز على بناء القدرات المؤسسية والدعم التقني.

Views and information on ongoing efforts to integrate adaptation and risk management into development planning were submitted to the secretariat by Parties and relevant organizations and discussed at the technical workshop on integrating practices, tools and systems for climate risk assessment and management and disaster risk reduction strategies into national policies and programmes, which took place in Havana, Cuba, on 10 - 12 March 2009.
