وإذ يعرب عن قلقه العميق لكون هذه الكارثة قد أصابت جميع مناحي الحياة في منطقتي بحر الأرال وسيميبالا تنسك ليس لها حدود وطنية وإنما تكتسي طابعا عالميا،

THE SITUATION IN REGIONS OF THE ISLAMIC WORLD AFFECTED BY ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTERS, IN PARTICULAR IN THE BASIN OF THE ARAL SEA AND THE REGION OF Semipalatinsk
بشأن الوضع في مناطق العالم الإسلامي التي عانت من كوارث بيئية وخصوصا في حوض بحر الآرال وفي منطقة سيميبالا تنسك للتجارب النووية

Taking into consideration the extremely difficult situation in the Aral Sea basin where the world community during the last decades practically lost the second largest freshwater lake in the world as well as in Semipalatinsk region which has been the largest nuclear tests site in the world;
وإذ يأخذ في الاعتبار الوضع البالغ الصعوبة في حوض بحر الآرال حيث فقد المجتمع العالمي في العقود الأخيرة ثاني أكبر بحيرة للمياه العذبة في العالم وكذلك صعوبة الوضع في منطقة سيميبالا تنسك التي كانت أكبر موقع في العالم لإجراء التجارب النووية،

Noting that Semipalatinsk nuclear site has witnessed nuclear tests on a large scale including high intensity tests on the surface which have been conducted during the last forty years;
وإذ يلاحظ أن منطقة " سيميبالا تنسك " للتجارب النووية قد شهدت تجارب نووية على نطاق واسع بما فيها أكثرها كثافة على سطح الأرض خلال الأربعين عاما الماضية،

1. Supports the efforts aimed at the rehabilitation of the Aral Sea and the ground of Semipalatinsk nuclear site which are undertaken by the Government of Kazakhstan as well as regional, international and charity organizations.
1 - يساند الجهود التي تبذلها حكومة كزاخستان والمنظمات الإقليمية والدولية والخيرية لإعادة تأهيل بحر أرال ومواقع التجارب النووية في منطقة سيبميبالا تنسك.

18. He also called for more active international cooperation on the former Semipalatinsk nuclear-testing ground, and hoped that a resolution on the topic would forge specific commitments to mitigate the effects of that man-made disaster.
18 - ودعا أيضاً إلى مزيد من التعاون الدولي الفعّال بشأن منطقة التجارب النووية السابقة في سيميبا لا تنسك للتخفيف من آثار تلك الكارثة التي صنعها الإنسان.
