Bearing in mind the close connection between transnational organized crime and terrorism, many speakers supported the combining of technical assistance activities on implementation of the universal instruments against terrorism and of the Organized Crime Convention.

4. In its resolution 59/153 of 20 December 2004, the General Assembly requested UNODC to intensify its efforts to provide technical assistance in preventing and combating terrorism through the implementation of the universal instruments related to terrorism.
4- وطلبت الجمعية العامة إلى المكتب، في قرارها 59/153 المؤرخ 20 كانون الأول/ ديسمبر 2004، أن يكثف جهوده لتقديم المساعدة التقنية في مجال منع الإرهاب ومكافحته من خلال تنفيذ الصكوك العالمية ذات الصلة بالإرهاب.

44. As a further tool to enhance the implementation of the universal instruments related to terrorism, UNODC is finalizing a guide for the legislative incorporation and implementation of those instruments.

17- وفي سياق أعمال المكتب المركّزة على تنفيذ الصكوك العالمية المتعلقة بالإرهاب، تبذل كل الجهود لإدماج الجوانب المتعلقة بسيادة القانون وحقوق الإنسان إدماجا تاما في تنفيذ هذه الصكوك.

In that respect, close working relations are maintained with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, with the aim of developing capacity to offer States technical assistance on the implementation of the universal instruments related to terrorism in compliance with the rule of law and human rights protection in particular.

The international community and donors were called upon to provide additional financial resources for UNODC counter-terrorism activities, especially in view of the need to expand the magnitude of its activities to meet the increasing requirements of States for the implementation of the universal instruments.

Finally, the Congo also took part in the conference of Ministers of Justice on the implementation of the universal instruments against terrorism that was held at Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, from 7 to 9 February 2006.
وأخيرا، شاركت الكونغو في مؤتمر وزراء العدل بشأن تنفيذ الصكوك العالمية المتعلقة بمكافحة الإرهاب، المعقود في شرم الشيخ، (مصر)، في الفترة من 7 إلى 9 شباط/ فبراير 2006.

UNODC, together with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), organized a workshop in Douala, Cameroon, in October 2011, on the implementation of the universal instruments relating to the security of maritime navigation in the context of the fight against transnational terrorism.
27- وفي تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2011، نظَّم المكتب، بالتعاون مع المنظمة الدولية للشرطة الجنائية (الإنتربول)، حلقة عمل وطنية في دوالا بالكاميرون بشأن تنفيذ الصكوك العالمية المتعلقة بأمن الملاحة البحرية في سياق مكافحة الإرهاب العابر للحدود الوطنية.

From 18 to 20 October, the Branch organized, in collaboration with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), a national workshop in Douala, Cameroon, on the implementation of the universal instruments relating to the security of maritime navigation in the context of the fight against transnational terrorism.
26- وفي الفترة من 18 إلى 20 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، نظّم الفرع، بالتعاون مع المنظمة الدولية للشرطة الجنائية (الإنتربول)، حلقة عمل وطنية في دوالا بالكاميرون بشأن تنفيذ الصكوك العالمية المتعلقة بأمن الملاحة البحرية في سياق مكافحة الإرهاب العابر للحدود الوطنية.

Delegations note with appreciation the annexed conclusions of the working groups on the improvement of international cooperation in the implementation of the universal instruments against terrorism, the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its Protocols, as well as the United Nations Convention against Corruption, and recommend them as practical tools for the implementation of these instruments.
تلاحظ الوفود مع التقدير النتائج المرفقة التي توصلت إليها أفرقة العمل بشأن تحسين التعاون الدولي في تنفيذ الصكوك العالمية لمكافحة الإرهاب، واتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظمة عبر الوطنية وبروتوكولاتها، وكذلك اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد، وتوصي بها بوصفها أدوات عملية لتنفيذ هذه الصكوك.
