The General Assembly further requested the Secretary-General to submit a progress report on the implementation of the pilot project to the Committee on Information at its twenty-second session.

3. In its recommendations of 11 May 2001, the Committee on Information concurred with the Secretary-General that the implementation of the pilot project had been one of the more significant and successful examples of the reorientation of the Department of Public Information.

The Committee also decided to resume its twenty-third session to take up the final report on the implementation of the pilot project with a view to taking a final decision on the mandate and allocation of the necessary resources for the establishment of a permanent international radio broadcasting capacity for the United Nations during the main part of the fifty-sixth session of the General Assembly.
كما قررت أن تستأنف دورتها الثالثة والعشرين للنظر في التقرير النهائي عن تنفيذ المشروع النموذجي بغرض " اتخاذ قرار نهائي بشأن تحديد المهام لمحطة دائمة للبث الإذاعي الدولي خاصة بالأمم المتحدة، ورصد الموارد لها " إبان الجزء الرئيسي من الدورة السادسة والخمسين للجمعية العامة.

VII.13 The Advisory Committee commends the Department of Public Information for the success of United Nations Radio, as described in the report of the Secretary-General on implementation of the pilot project to develop an international radio broadcasting capacity for the United Nations (A/AC.198/2003/4).
سابعا - 13 وتثني اللجنة الاستشارية على إدارة شؤون الإعلام على نجاح إذاعة الأمم المتحدة، على النحو الذي يرد وصفه في تقرير الأمين العام عن تنفيذ المشروع النموذجي لتطوير قدرات محطة دولية للبث الإذاعي للأمم المتحدة (A/AC.198/2003/4).

43. Requests the Secretary-General to submit to the Committee on Information at its twenty-third session a progress report on the results of the implementation of the pilot project, and declares its intention to examine before the end of 2001 and upon submission by the Secretary-General of his report, the final report on the results of the project with a view to taking a decision on the matter during its fifty-sixth session;
43 - تطلب إلى الأمين العام تقديم تقرير مرحلي إلى لجنة الإعلام في دورتها الثالثة والعشرين عن نتائج تنفيذ المشروع النموذجي وتعلن عن عزمها القيام بدراسة التقرير النهائي عن نتائج المشروع، قبل نهاية عام 2001 ولدى تقديم الأمين العام لهذا التقرير، وذلك بغية اتخاذ قرار بهذا الشأن خلال دورتها السادسة والخمسين؛

72. The Chairman noted that the Committee would resume its session during the first week of September 2001 to consider the final report of the Secretary-General on the results of the implementation of the pilot project on the development of an international radio broadcasting capacity for the United Nations and finalize its recommendations to the General Assembly at its fifty-sixth session. 72 - ولاحظ الرئيس أن اللجنة ستستأنف أعمال دورتها في الأسبوع الأول من شهر أيلول/سبتمبر 2001 للنظر في التقرير النهائي للأمين العام بشأن نتائج تنفيذ المشروع النموذجي المتعلق بإنشاء محطة دولية للبث الإذاعي في الأمم المتحدة، ووضع الصيغة النهائية للتوصيات التي ستقدمها إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها السادسة والخمسين.

Strides will continue to be made in radio broadcasting, clear evidence of which is the success of the pilot project for direct international radio broadcasting, as outlined in the Secretary-General's progress report on the implementation of the pilot project on the development of an international radio broadcasting capacity for the United Nations (A/AC.198/2001/7).
