We take note that issues of interest to LDCs are being addressed in all areas of negotiations and we welcome the progress made since the Doha Ministerial Declaration as reflected in the Decision adopted by the General Council on 1 August 2004.

17. The following elements constitute preliminary thoughts on key issues of interest to LDCs from the perspective of UNCTAD, in no particular order of importance.

In contributing to the further implementation of the PoA, UNCTAD has undertaken, within its mandates and competence, a number of activities on issues of interest to LDCs.

The 2004 activities of the secretariat on LDCs cover research and policy analysis, consensus building and technical cooperation on a wide range of trade- and development-related issues of interest to LDCs, landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) and small island developing states (SIDS).
وتشمل أنشطة الأمانة فيما يتعلق بأقل البلدان نمواً في عام 2004 البحوث وتحليل السياسات، وبناء توافق الآراء، والتعاون التقني في مجموعة عريضة من القضايا المتصلة بالتجارة والتنمية والتي تهم أقل البلدان نمواً والبلدان النامية غير الساحلية والدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية.

The CMT Rev.2 acknowledges the seriousness of the concerns of LDCs as expressed in the Dhaka Declaration, and it addresses a number of issues of interest to LDCs.

14. Reiterates its request to the Secretary-General to include the issues of concern to the least developed countries in all relevant reports in the economic, social, environmental and related fields in order to ensure follow-up of their development in the broader context of the world economy and contribute to preventing their marginalization while promoting their further integration into the world economy;

The implementation of the Programme of Action should be integrated into all international processes of concern to the LDCs.
