13. The Secretariat has reviewed the process of preparing the biennial calendar of conferences and meetings, which incorporates the provisional biennial calendar of meetings in the economic, social and related fields.
13 - وقد استعرضت الأمانة العامة عملية إعداد جداول المؤتمرات والاجتماعات لفترة السنتين، التي تشمل جدول الاجتماعات المؤقت لفترة السنتين في الميادين الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والميادين ذات الصلة.

5. In paragraph 13 of his report, the Secretary-General indicates that the Secretariat has reviewed the process of preparing the biennial calendar of conferences and meetings, which incorporates the provisional biennial calendar of meetings in the economic, social and related fields.

Acknowledges the significance of the Day of Vesak, which is observed in many Member States, invites United Nations bodies at Headquarters and other duty stations where observed to avoid holding meetings on the Day of Vesak, and in this regard encourages this arrangement be taken into account when drafting future calendars of conferences and meetings;
6 - تعترف بأهمية يوم فيساك الذي يُحتفل به في العديد من الدول الأعضاء وتدعو هيئات الأمم المتحدة في المقر وسائر مراكز العمل التي يحتفل فيها بيوم فيساك أن تتفادى عقد اجتماعات خلاله وتشجع، في هذا الصدد، على أن يوضع هذا الترتيب في الحسبان لدى إعداد جداول المؤتمرات والاجتماعات مستقبلا؛

He expressed his delegation’s appreciation to the Committee on Conferences for recommending in its report that United Nations bodies should avoid holding meetings on 9 April 1999, the date of Easter in the Orthodox Church, and that that fact should be taken into account in drafting future calendars of conferences and meetings.
٤٩ - وأعرب عن تقدير وفده لتوصية لجنة المؤتمرات في تقريرها بأن تتجنب هيئات اﻷمم المتحدة عقد اجتماعات يوم ٩ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٩، وهو تاريخ عيد القيامة المجيد في الكنيسة اﻷرثوذكسية، وبأن يؤخذ هذا في الاعتبار لدى صياغة جداول المؤتمرات والاجتماعات المقبلة.

6. In its resolution 53/208 A of 18 December 1998, the General Assembly decided that United Nations bodies should be invited to avoid holding meetings on Orthodox Good Friday and that that arrangement should be taken into account when drafting future calendars of conferences and meetings.
6 - وقررت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 53/208 ألف المؤرخ 18 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1998، دعوة هيئات الأمم المتحدة إلى عدم عقد اجتماعات في يوم الجمعة العظيمة لأتباع الكنيسة الأرثوذكسية، وأخذ هذا الترتيب في الاعتبار لدى وضع جداول المؤتمرات والاجتماعات مستقبلا.

7. Acknowledges the significance of Diwali, which is observed in many Member States, invites United Nations bodies at Headquarters and other duty stations where observed to avoid holding meetings on Diwali, and in this regard encourages this arrangement be taken into account when drafting future calendars of conferences and meetings;
7 - تعترف بأهمية عيد ديوالي الذي يُحتفل به في العديد من الدول الأعضاء وتدعو هيئات الأمم المتحدة في المقر وسائر مراكز العمل التي يحتفل فيها بعيد ديوالي أن تتفادى عقد اجتماعات خلاله وتشجع، في هذا الصدد، على أن يوضع هذا الترتيب في الحسبان لدى إعداد جداول المؤتمرات والاجتماعات مستقبلا؛

8 - تعترف بأهمية عيد غوربوراب الذي يُحتفل به في العديد من الدول الأعضاء وتدعو هيئات الأمم المتحدة في المقر وسائر مراكز العمل التي يحتفل فيها بعيد غوربوراب أن تتفادى عقد اجتماعات خلاله وتشجع، في هذا الصدد، على أن يوضع هذا الترتيب في الحسبان لدى إعداد جداول المؤتمرات والاجتماعات مستقبلا؛

the General Assembly approved the draft revised calendar of conferences and meetings of the United Nations for 1995; invited the competent legislative organs to disband all bodies dealing with apartheid; and invited United Nations bodies to avoid holding meetings on 2 March and 9 May 1995, and invited the Secretariat, when drafting future calendars of conferences and meetings, to take these arrangements into account (resolution 49/221 A).

The Secretariat also informed the Committee that, in the preparation of the provisional calendar, due regard was taken of the provisions of paragraph 11 of General Assembly resolution 53/208, by which the Assembly decided that United Nations bodies should be invited to avoid holding meetings on 9 April 1999 and that this arrangement should be taken into account when drafting future calendars of conferences and meetings.
كما أبلغت الأمانة اللجنة بأنه قد تم إيلاء الاعتبار الواجب، لدى إعداد الجدول المؤقت، لأحكام الفقرة 11 من قرار الجمعية العامة 53/208 الذي قررت الجمعية بموجبه دعوة هيئات الأمم المتحدة إلى تجنب عقد اجتماعات يوم 9 نيسان/أبريل 1999، وضرورة أخذ هذا الترتيب في الاعتبار لدى وضع جداول المؤتمرات والاجتماعات مستقبلاً.

Pursuant to Assembly resolution 66/233, the Secretary-General, in paragraph 13 of his report on the pattern of conferences (A/67/127 and Corr.1), indicated that the Secretariat had reviewed the process of preparing the biennial calendar of conferences and meetings, which incorporates the provisional biennial calendar of meetings in the economic, social and related fields.
وعملا بالقرار 66/233، أشار الأمين العام في الفقرة 13 من تقريره عن خطة المؤتمرات (A/67/127 وCorr.1)، إلى أن الأمانة العامة استعرضت عملية إعداد جداول المؤتمرات والاجتماعات لفترة السنتين، التي تشمل جدول الاجتماعات المؤقت لفترة السنتين في الميدانين الاقتصادي والاجتماعي والميادين المتصلة بهما.
