In line with the decisions of the General Assembly and the Organization of African Unity, the Sierra Leone delegation expresses its support for the sovereignty of the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros over the island of Mayotte.
وتمشيا مع قرارات الجمعية العامة ومنظمة الوحدة الافريقية، يعرب وفد سيراليون عن تأييده لسيادة جمهورية جزر القمر اﻹسلامية الاتحادية على جزيرة مايوت.

" ٢ - يؤكد من جديد سيادة جمهورية جزر القمر اﻹسلامية الاتحادية على جزيرة مايوت القمرية؛

7. Requested the Secretary-General to urgently consider all appropriate measures which could be taken to contribute to the preservation of the unity and territorial integrity of the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros.
٧ - طلبت الى اﻷمين العام أن ينظر على وجه السرعة في جميع التدابير الملائمة التي يمكن اتخاذها للمساهمة في المحافظة على وحدة جمهورية جزر القمر اﻹسلامية الاتحادية وسلامتها اﻹقليمية.

" In view of the foregoing, the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros requests the Secretary-General of the United Nations:
" وبالنظر إلى ما تقدم، ترجو جمهورية جزر القمر اﻹسلامية الاتحادية من اﻷمين العام لمنظمة اﻷمم المتحدة القيام بما يلي:

Since the times favour regional groupings, the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros is firmly convinced of the need to include Mayotte in the dynamics and process of regional integration in which its sister islands in the Indian Ocean are involved.
فالحين اﻵن مناسب ﻹعادة تشكيل المجموعات اﻹقليمية، ولدى جمهورية جزر القمر اﻹسلامية الاتحادية اعتقاد راسخ بضرورة إدخال جزيرة مايوت في عملية الدمج اﻹقليمية وحركتها، التي تنخرط فيها شقيقاتها جزر المحيط الهندي.

In this resolution, the Council appealed to all OAU member States to condemn and disregard any action which could be taken by France to force the Comorian Island of Mayotte to participate in events where distinction could be made between the latter and the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros.
وقد وجﱠه المجلس في هذا القرار نداء إلى جميع الدول اﻷعضاء في منظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية كي تدين وترفض كل مبادرة تصدر عن فرنسا وترمي إلى إشراك جزيرة مايوت القمرية في أي تظاهرة تكون فيها هذه اﻷخيرة منفصلة عن جمهورية جزر القمر اﻹسلامية الاتحادية.

" We also feel compelled to note that the restrictive and selective administrative measures which the inhabitants of the three other islands of the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros must comply with upon entering Mayotte can only serve to entrench the feeling of separation even further.
" ومن ناحية أخرى، لا بد لنا من أن نشير إلى أن التدابير اﻹدارية، التقييدية والانتقائية في آن معا، المفروضة على الدخول إلى جزيرة مايوت والتي يطلب من أهالي الجزر الثلاث اﻷخرى في جمهورية جزر القمر اﻹسلامية الاتحادية التقيد بها، ليس من شأنها إلا تعميق الشعور بالصدع.

" The various resolutions adopted on this subject all reaffirm the sovereignty of the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros over the island of Mayotte, and urge the French Government to accelerate the process of negotiations with the Government of the Comoros, with a view to speedily finding a just and lasting solution, in conformity with the wishes of the international community and on the basis of respect for international law.
" وكل القرارات المختلفة التي اعتمدت بشأن هذا الموضوع تؤكد من جديد سيادة جمهورية جزر القمر اﻹسلامية الاتحادية على جزيرة مايوت القمرية وتحث حكومة فرنسا على التعجيل بعملية المفاوضات مع حكومة جزر القمر بغية التوصل بسرعة إلى حل عادل ودائم يتفق مع رغبات المجتمع الدولي واحترام القانون الدولي.

For this reason, the Comorian Government would like, once again, to call upon the Secretary-General to make his good offices available and to continue his role as mediator, by bringing the two parties together in the search for a just and fair settlement which respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros. "
ولهذا السبب تود حكومة جزر القمر مرة أخرى أن تدعو اﻷمين العام إلى بذل مساعيه الحميدة وأن يواصل دوره كوسيط وذلك بجمع الطرفين للبحث عن تسوية عادلة ومنصفة تحترم سلامة جمهورية جزر القمر اﻹسلامية الاتحادية اﻹقليمية وسيادتها " .

In this struggle for the reintegration of the Comorian island of Mayotte into the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros, the people and the Government of the Comoros draw strength from the valued support of the international community and of international and regional organizations, which regularly consider this question and adopt resolutions reaffirming the sovereignty of the Islamic Federal Republic of Comoros over that Comorian island.
وفي هذا النضال من أجل إعانة ادماج جزيرة مايوت في جمهورية جزر القمر اﻹسلامية الاتحادية، تستمد جزر القمر، حكومة وشعبا، القوة من الدعم القيم الذي يقدمه المجتمع الدولي والمنظمات الدولية واﻹقليمية، التي تنظر بصورة منتظمة في هذه المسألة، وتعتمد القرارات التي تعيد التأكيد على سيادة جمهورية جزر القمر اﻹسلامية الاتحادية على هذه الجزيرة القمرية.
