The Special Rapporteur noted that trafficking in children through and from Ukraine is an alarming problem and referred to data provided by the International Organization for Migration which show that 10 per cent of all victims of trafficking who are known to return to Ukraine, either voluntarily or not, are aged between 13 and 18.
وأشار المقرر الخاص إلى أن الاتجار في الأطفال خلال أوكرانيا ومنها هو مشكلة تدعو إلى القلق كما أشار إلى البيانات المقدمة من المنظمة الدولية للهجرة والتي تبيّن أن 10 في المائة من جميع ضحايا الاتجار الذين من المعروف أنهم عادوا إلى أوكرانيا، إما بصورة طوعية أو غير طوعية، تتراوح أعمارهم بين 13 و 18 سنة.

It is important in this context to note that victim protection must be considered separately from witness protection, as not all victims of trafficking will be selected by investigating and prosecuting agencies to act as witnesses in criminal proceedings.
