Most passports are issued after due police verification which inter-alia establishes the Indian nationality of the applicant.
ولا تصدر جوازات السفر في معظم الحالات إلا بعد أن تكون الشرطة قد تحققت تماما من جملة أمور من بينها على نحو خاص جنسية مقدم الطلب.

(a) sufficient information to determine the nationality of the applicant or the identity of the State or States by which, or by whose nationals, the applicant is effectively controlled; and
(أ) معلومات كافية لمعرفة جنسية مقدم الطلب أو هوية الدولة أو الدول التي يكون لها أو لرعاياها سيطرة فعلية عليه؛

13. The certificate of sponsorship states that the nationality of the applicant is Japanese and that the sponsoring State sponsors the applicant in accordance with paragraph 2 (b) of article 153 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and paragraph 4 of article 4 of annex III to the Convention and subject to its relevant national laws and regulations.
13 - وتنص شهادة التزكية على أن جنسية مقدم الطلب هي اليابانية وأن الدولة المزكية تزكي مقدم الطلب وفقا للفقرة 2 (ب) من المادة 153 من اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار والمادة 4 من المرفق الثالث للاتفاقية مع مراعاة قوانينها وأنظمتها الوطنية ذات الصلة.
