Yesterday, Israeli authorities approved the building of almost 3,000 more units in the illegal Jewish settlement of Jabal Abu Ghneim to the south of Occupied East Jerusalem.
فقد أقرت السلطات الإسرائيلية أمس بناء ما يقرب من 000 3 وحدة سكنية إضافية في مستوطنة جبل أبو غنيم اليهودية غير القانونية جنوب القدس الشرقية المحتلة.

Over the past year, such illegal activities have continued, particularly in Jabal Abu Ghneim to the south of Occupied East Jerusalem in Ras al-Amud, in addition to other colonial settlement activities and measures throughout the Palestinian territory.
وقد تواصلت هذه اﻷنشطة غير القانونية طوال السنة الماضية، ولا سيما في جبل أبو غنيم إلى جنوب القدس الشرقية المحتلة في رأس العامود، باﻹضافة إلى أنشطة وتدابير استيطان استعماري أخرى في مختلف أنحاء اﻷرض الفلسطينية المحتلـة.

1. Condemns the construction by Israel, the occupying Power, of a new settlement in Jebel Abu Ghneim to the south of Occupied East Jerusalem and all other illegal Israeli actions in all the occupied territories;
1 - تدين قيام إسرائيل، السلطة القائمة بالاحتلال، بإنشاء مستوطنة جديدة في جبل أبو غنيم جنوب القدس الشرقية المحتلة وسائر الأعمال الإسرائيلية غير القانونية في جميع الأراضي المحتلة؛

Following my letter to you of 17 March 1997, I wish to inform you that Israel, the occupying Power, has today, 18 March, begun the actual work for construction of a new settlement in the Jabal Abu Ghneim area to the south of Occupied East Jerusalem.
إلحاقا برسالتي الموجهة إليكم المؤرخة ١٧ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٧، أود إبلاغكم بأن إسرائيل، وهي السلطة القائمة بالاحتلال، قد بدأت اليوم، ١٨ آذار/مارس، العمل الفعلي في بناء مستوطنة جديدة في منطقة جبل أبو غنيم جنوب القدس الشرقية المحتلة.

In addition, the illegal actions clearly violate the agreements reached between the Government of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization and seriously threaten recent attempts to reactivate the peace process, which was derailed by illegal settlement activity at Jabal Abu Ghneim, to the south of Occupied East Jerusalem.
إضافة إلى ذلك، تمثل هذه اﻷعمال غير المشروعة انتهاكا واضحا للاتفاقات التي تم التوصل إليها بين حكومة إسرائيل ومنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية كما تشكل تهديدا خطيرا للمحاولات التي بذلت في اﻵونة اﻷخيرة لتنشيط عملية السلام التي عرقلها النشاط الاستيطاني غير المشروع في جبل أبو غنيم الذي يقع جنوب القدس الشرقية المحتلة.
