لاحظت مع التقدير ما يبذله فخامة الرئيس جواكيم تشيسانو من جهود من أجل اقرار سلم دائم في موزامبيق، وحثت جميع اطراف النزاع الموزامبيقي على مواصلة عملية السلم والتعاون مع اﻷمم المتحدة في محاولة اقرار سلم دائم وتجنيب شعب ذلك البلد المزيد من المعاناة التي لا تطاق؛

Constructive cooperation with other African partners also continued to progress during the period, with President Ahmed Tejan Kabbah of Sierra Leone and President Joaquim Chissano of Mozambique visiting Guinea-Bissau in October and November respectively, and President Yalá travelling to the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Morocco, Guinea, Senegal and Togo in November, following a visit to the Gambia in September.
11 - كما ظل التعاون المثمر مع الشركاء الأفارقة الآخرين يحرز تقدما خلال الفترة، حيث زار الرئيس أحمد تيجان كباح رئيس سيراليون غينيا - بيساو في تشرين الأول/أكتوبر وزارها الرئيس جواكيم تشيسانو رئيس موزامبيق في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر، وسافر الرئيس يالا إلى الجماهيرية العربية الليبية والمملكة المغربية وجمهورية غينيا والسنغال وتوغو في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر، بعد أن زار غامبيا في أيلول/سبتمبر.
