The Security Council, in its resolution 1325 (2000), reaffirmed the important role of women in the prevention and resolution of conflicts and in peacebuilding and stressed the importance of their equal participation and full involvement in all efforts for the maintenance and promotion of peace and security.
وأكّد مجلس الأمن من جديد، في قراره 1325 (2000) على الدور المهم الذي تضطلع به المرأة في منع نشوب الصراعات وحلها وفي بناء السلام، وشدّد على أهمية مساهمتها على قدم المساواة ومشاركتها الكاملة في جميع الجهود الرامية إلى حفظ السلام والأمن وتعزيزهما.

وقد أعاد مجلس الأمن التأكيد مؤخرا على " الدور الهام للمرأة في منع الصراعات وحلها وفي بناء السلام " وشدد على " أهمية مساهمتها المتكافئة ومشاركتها الكاملة في جميع الجهود الرامية إلى حفظ السلام والأمن وتعزيزهما " (77).

UNHCR also welcomed the Security Council's renewed stress on the " importance of [women's] equal participation and full involvement in all efforts for the maintenance and promotion of peace and security, and the need to increase their role in decision-making with regard to conflict prevention and resolution. "
كذلك رحبت المفوضية بتشديد مجلس الأمن مجدداً على " أهمية مساهمة [المرأة] المتكافئة ومشاركتها الكاملة في جميع الجهود الرامية إلى حفظ السلام والأمن وتعزيزهما وعلى الحاجة إلى النهوض بدورها في عملية صنع القرار المتعلقة بمنع الصراعات وتسويتها " ().
