وسيقوم بتيسير الاتصالات فيما بين أفرقة العمل المخصصة والمجتمع الدولي؛ ومساعدة مكتب لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا في تحديد المجالات المواضيعية للعمل المقبل لأفرقة العمل المخصصة؛ وتقديم التقارير إلى مؤتمر الأطراف من خلال لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا.

23. Following decision 15/COP.6, the GoE was requested to prioritize its work programme and focus on issues emerging from priorities set forth in the action programmes as well as from the review of national reports and other relevant reports, and to advise the COP through the CST of the efficacy and adequacy of the programmes for implementing the Convention.
23- وعملاً بالمقرر 15/م أ-6، طُلب إلى فريق الخبراء أن يحدد أولويات برنامج عمله وأن يركز على القضايا المنبثقة عن الأولويات المحددة في برامج العمل وعن استعراض التقارير الوطنية وغيرها من التقارير ذات الصلة، وإبلاغ مؤتمر الأطراف من خلال لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا بمدى كفاءة برامج تنفيذ الاتفاقية وملاءمتها.
