23. In its resolution 1996/38 of 29 August 1996, the Sub-Commission recommended that the Commission on Human Rights appoint Ms. Erica-Irene Daes as Special Rapporteur to conduct a comprehensive study on indigenous land rights.
٣٢- أوصت اللجنة الفرعية، في قرارها ٦٩٩١/٨٣ المؤرخ في ٩٢ آب/أغسطس ٦٩٩١، بأن تعيﱢن لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان السيدة إيريكا - إيرين دايس مقررة خاصة ﻹجراء دراسة شاملة عن حقوق السكان اﻷصليين المتعلقة باﻷراضي.

The Commission on Human Rights, in its decision 1997/114 of 13 April 1997, approved the appointment of Ms. Daes as Special Rapporteur, and requested her to prepare a working paper on indigenous people and their relationship to land.
وقد وافقت لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان، في مقررها ٧٩٩١/٤١١ المؤرخ في ٣١ نيسان/أبريل ٧٩٩١، على تعيين السيدة دايس مقررة خاصة وطلبت منها إعداد ورقة عمل بشأن الشعوب اﻷصلية وعلاقتها باﻷرض.

وإذ تشير إلى قرارها ٦٩٩١/٨٣ المؤرخ في ٩٢ آب/أغسطس ٦٩٩١، الذي أوصت فيه بأن تأذن لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان بتعيين السيدة إيريكا - ايرين أ. دايس مقررة خاصة ﻹجراء دراسة شاملة عن حقوق الشعوب اﻷصلية المتعلقة باﻷرض،

The Commission on Human Rights, in its decision 1997/114, had approved the appointment of Ms. Daes as Special Rapporteur on indigenous people and their relationship to land, and requested her to prepare a preliminary working paper on the subject.
٧٣- وقد وافقت لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان في مقررها ٧٩٩١/٤١١ على تعيين السيدة دايس مقررة خاصة للسكان اﻷصليين وعلاقتهم باﻷرض، وطلبت إليها أن تعد ورقة عمل أولية عن هذا الموضوع.

163- وقد وافقت لجنة حقوق الإنسان، في مقررها 1997/114 الذي اعتمدته في دورتها الثالثة والخمسين على تعيين السيدة دايس مقررة خاصة لإعداد ورقة عمل بشأن السكان الأصليين وعلاقتهم بالأرض بغية اقتراح تدابير عملية للتصدي للمشاكل المستمرة في هذا الصدد.

144. At its fifty—third session, the Commission on Human Rights, in its decision 1997/114, approved the appointment of Ms. Erica—Irene Daes as Special Rapporteur to prepare a working paper on indigenous people and their relationship to land with a view to suggesting practical measures to address ongoing problems in this regard.
٤٤١- وقد وافقت لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان، في مقررها ٧٩٩١/٤١١ الذي اعتمدته في دورتها الثالثة والخمسين، على تعيين السيدة إيريكا - إيرين دايس مقررة خاصة ﻹعداد ورقة عمل بشأن السكان اﻷصليين وعلاقتهم باﻷرض بغية اقتراح تدابير عملية للتصدي للمشاكل المستمرة في هذا الصدد.

At its fifty—third session, the Commission on Human Rights, in its decision 1997/114, approved the appointment of Ms. Erica—Irene Daes as Special Rapporteur to prepare, from within existing resources, a working paper on indigenous people and their relationship to land with a view to suggesting practical measures to address ongoing problems in this regard.
٠٦١- ووافقت لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان، في دورتها الثالثة والخمسين في مقررها ٧٩٩١/٤١١، على تعيين السيدة إيريكا - إيرين دايس مقررة خاصة ﻹعداد ورقة عمل، في حدود الموارد القائمة، عن السكان اﻷصليين وصلتهم باﻷرض بغية اقتراح تدابير عملية للتصدي للمشاكل المستمرة في هذا الشأن.

2. Decides to appoint Mrs. Daes as Special Rapporteur to undertake a study on indigenous peoples' permanent sovereignty over natural resources based on her working paper, and requests the Special Rapporteur to submit a preliminary report to the SubCommission at its fiftyfifth session and her final report at its fiftysixth session;
2- تقرر تعيين السيدة دايس مقررة خاصة لإجراء دراسة عن السيادة الدائمة للشعوب الأصلية على الموارد الطبيعية استناداً إلى ورقة العمل التي قدمتها، وترجو منها أن تقدم تقريراً أولياً إلى اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها الخامسة والخمسين وأن تقدم تقريرها النهائي إليها في دورتها السادسة والخمسين؛

173. At its fiftythird session, the Commission on Human Rights, in its decision 1997/114, approved the appointment of Ms. Daes as Special Rapporteur to prepare a working paper on indigenous people and their relationship to land with a view to suggesting practical measures to address ongoing problems in this regard.
173- وقد وافقت لجنة حقوق الإنسان، في مقررها 1997/114، الذي اعتمدته في دورتها الثالثة والخمسين، على تعيين السيدة دايس مقررة خاصة لإعداد ورقة عمل بشأن السكان الأصليين وعلاقتهم بالأرض بغية اقتراح تدابير عملية للتصدي للمشاكل المستمرة في هذا الصدد.

In its resolution 2002/15, the Sub-Commission decided to appoint Ms. Daes as Special Rapporteur to undertake a study based on her working paper, and requested her to submit a preliminary report at its fifty-fifth session and a final report at its fiftysixth session.
وقررت اللجنة الفرعية، في قرارها 2002/15 أن تعيّن السيدة دايس مقررة خاصة لإجراء دراسة تستند إلى ورقة العمل التي أعدتها، وطلبت منها أن تقدم إليها تقريراً أولياً في دورتها الخامسة والخمسين وتقريراً نهائياً في دورتها السادسة والخمسين.

At that session, the Sub-Commission decided to propose to the Commission on Human Rights the appointment of Mrs. Daes as Special Rapporteur to undertake a study on the subject based on her working paper (resolution 2002/15), requesting her to submit a preliminary report to the Sub-Commission at its fifty-fifth session and a final report at its fifty-sixth session.
2- وفي تلك الدورة قررت اللجنة الفرعية أن تقترح على لجنة حقوق الإنسان تعيين السيدة دايس مقررة خاصة لإعداد دراسة عن هذا الموضوع بالاستناد إلى ورقة عملها (القرار 2002/15)، وطلبت إليها أن تقدم إلى اللجنة الفرعية تقريراً أولياً في دورتها الخامسة والخمسين وتقريراً نهائياً في دورتها السادسة والخمسين.

Recalling also Commission on Human Rights decision 1997/114 of 11 April 1997 and Economic and Social Council decision 1997/289 of 22 July 1997 endorsing the appointment of Ms. Erica—Irene A. Daes as Special Rapporteur with the mandate to prepare a working paper on indigenous people and their relationship to land with a view to suggesting practical measures to address ongoing problems in this regard,
وإذ تشير أيضاً إلى مقرر لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان ٧٩٩١/٤١١ المؤرخ ١١ نيسان/أبريل ٧٩٩١ وإلى مقرر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي ٧٩٩١/٩٨٢ المؤرخ ٢٢ تموز/يوليه ٧٩٩١ اللذين يؤيــدان تعيين السيدة إيريكــا - ايرين أ. دايس مقررة خاصة تكلف بإعداد ورقة عمل عن الشعوب اﻷصلية وعلاقتها باﻷرض بغية اقتراح تدابير عملية للتصدي للمشاكل المستمرة في هذا الشأن،

1. In its decision 1997/114 of 11 April 1997, the Commission on Human Rights, taking note of resolution 1996/38 of 29 August 1996 of the SubCommission approved the appointment of Mrs. EricaIrene A. Daes as Special Rapporteur to prepare a working paper on indigenous people and their relationship to land with a view to suggesting practical measures to address ongoing problems in that regard.
1- أحاطت لجنة حقوق الإنسان علما في مقررها 1997/114 المؤرخ 11 نيسان/أبريل 1997، بقرار اللجنة الفرعية 1996/38 المؤرخ 29 آب/أغسطس 1996، فوافقت على تعيين السيدة إيريكا - إيرين أ. دايس مقررة خاصة لإعداد ورقة عمل عن الشعوب الأصلية وعلاقتها بالأرض، بغية اقتراح تدابير عملية لمواجهة المشاكل المستمرة في هذا الصدد.

(a) The SubCommission's request to appoint Ms. EricaIrene Daes as Special Rapporteur to undertake a study on indigenous peoples' permanent sovereignty over natural resources based on her working paper (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2002/23) and its request to the Special Rapporteur to submit a preliminary report to the SubCommission at its fiftyfifth session and her final report at its fiftysixth session;
(أ) طلب اللجنة الفرعية تعيين السيدة إريكا - إيرين دايس مقررة خاصة للاضطلاع بدراسة عن السيادة الدائمة للشعوب الأصلية على مواردها الطبيعية استناداً إلى ورقة العمل التي قدمتها (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2002/23)، وتأييد طلب اللجنة الفرعية إلى المقررة الخاصة أن تقدم تقريراً أولياً إلى اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها الخامسة والخمسين وتقريرا نهائيا في دورتها السادسة والخمسين؛

59. At its fifty-fourth session, the Sub-Commission, in its resolution 2002/15, decided to appoint Ms. EricaIrene Daes as Special Rapporteur to undertake a study on indigenous peoples' permanent sovereignty over natural resources based on her working paper (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2002/23), and requested the Special Rapporteur to submit a preliminary report to the SubCommission at its fiftyfifth session and her final report at its fiftysixth session.
58- قررت اللجنة الفرعية في قرارها 2002/15 المعتمد في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين تعيين السيدة إيريكا آيرين دايس مقررة خاصة لإجراء دراسة عن السيادة الدائمة للشعوب الأصلية على الموارد الطبيعية استناداً إلى ورقة العمل التي قدمتها (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2002/23) وطلبت منها أن تقدم تقريراً أولياً إلى اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها الخامسة والخمسين وأن تقدم تقريرها النهائي إليها في دورتها السادسة والخمسين.
