parent support groups have been formed over the past 30 years to provide information and practical, emotional and financial support for families to enable them to cope with the difficulties associated with lengthy treatment, often far from home.

States parties are urged to regulate media production and delivery in ways that protect young children, as well as support parents/caregivers to fulfil their childrearing responsibilities in this regard (art. 18).
