In accordance with the requirements of the accountability framework for the United Nations field security management system (A/57/365), the designated official ensures the observance of the arrangements detailed in the United Nations Field Security Handbook and develops and implements the security plan for the duty station with the aim of maintaining the security and safety of the United Nations system personnel and operations.
