Recalling that, in its resolution 63/248, the General Assembly had recognized the importance of meetings of regional and other major groupings of Member States for the smooth functioning of the sessions of intergovernmental bodies, he said that that " strategic reserve " could be used to increase the interpretation services that were available for such meetings and called on the Secretariat to make further efforts in that regard.
