Mr. Ibra Deguène Ka spoke in his capacity as Chairman of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People.
وتكلم السيد إيبرا ديغوان كا بصفته رئيس اللجنة المعنية بممارسة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه غير القابلة للتصرف.

At this stage I should like to pay tribute to His Excellency Ambassador Ibra Deguène Ka of Senegal, Chairman of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, for his astute and dynamic leadership of the work of the Committee, and to recall the close and fruitful cooperation between the Committee and the OIC in support of the peace process in Palestine.
وأود في هذه المرحلة أن أشيد بسعادة السفير إبرا ديغوان كا ممثل السنغال ورئيس لجنة ممارسة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه غير القابلة للتصرف، لقيادته الذكية والدينامية لعمل اللجنة، وأن أذكر بالتعاون الوثيق والمثمر بين اللجنة ومنظمة المؤتمر اﻹسلامي دعما لعملية السلام في فلسطين.

11. At its 227th meeting, on 19 February 1997, the Committee re-elected Mr. Ibra Deguène Ka (Senegal) as Chairman, and re-elected Mr. Ravan A. G. Farhadi (Afghanistan) and Mr. Bruno Eduardo Rodríguez Parrilla (Cuba) as Vice-Chairmen.
