In the future, Malaysian efforts to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities would be guided by the Convention at the global level and the Incheon Strategy to Make the Right Real for Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific at the regional level.
وأكدت أنه في المستقبل، ستسترشد الجهود التي تبذلها ماليزيا من أجل تعزيز حقوق ورفاه الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة بالاتفاقية على الصعيد العالمي وباستراتيجية إنشيون من أجل إعمال حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة في آسيا والمحيط الهادئ على الصعيد الإقليمي.

The Committee commends the State party for the large number of measures relating to international cooperation for the rights of persons with disabilities, including, in particular, its initiative to support the launch and implementation of the Incheon Strategy to Make the Right Real for Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific.

Cambodia also highlighted the decision of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) to designate a new Asian and Pacific Decade of Persons with Disabilities, 2013-2022, and the ESCAP's adoption of the Incheon Strategy to Make the Right Real for Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific.

23. In addition, in June 2009, the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) organized the Regional Inter-agency Meeting on the Promotion and Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific.

Ms. Cha (Republic of Korea) said that, in 2012, her country had hosted the High-level Intergovernmental Meeting on the Final Review of the Implementation of the Asian and Pacific Decade of Disabled Persons, which had endorsed the Incheon Strategy to Make the Right Real for Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific.

In October 2012, at the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) High-level Intergovernmental Meeting on the Final Review of the Implementation of the Asian and Pacific Decade of Disabled Persons (2003-2012), Asian Pacific countries endorsed a new strategic framework of action, the Incheon Strategy to " Make the Right Real " for Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific.

After my mission in Indonesia, I visited the office of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in Bangkok, for a meeting with the disability focal point and to discuss progress with regard to the implementation of the new regional policy framework, entitled " Incheon Strategy to Make the Right Real for Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific " .
