4.8 Finally, the State party contends that, contrary to the authors' assertion, no decision to reduce reindeer numbers has been made, although the Herdsmen's Committees and the Sami Parliament have provided opinions.
4-8 وفي الختام، تدّعي الدولة الطرف أنه، خلافا لما يؤكده صاحبا البلاغ، لم يُتخذ أي قرار بتقليص عدد رؤوس الرنة رغم أن لجان الرعاة والبرلمان الصامي قد أعربوا عن آراء في هذا الشأن.

In the determination of the maximum numbers of reindeer, the principle enshrined in section 21, subsection 2, is applied according to which the number of reindeer in the herds on the lands administered by the Committee may not exceed the sustainable productive capacity of the winter pastures.
