رسالة مؤرخة ٧٢ كانون الثاني/يناير ٨٩٩١، موجهة إلى رئيس الجمعية العامة من المندوب الدائم للبحرين بصفته رئيسا لمجموعة الدول العربية لشهر كانون الثاني/يناير ٨٩٩١*

The draft resolution was introduced by the representative of Egypt, in his capacity as Chairman of the Group of Arab States for the month of November 1995, at the 16th meeting of the Committee on 8 November 1995.
وقد عرض ممثل مصر مشروع القرار، بوصفه رئيسا لمجموعة الدول العربية لشهر تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٥، في الجلسة السادسة عشرة التي عقدتها اللجنة في ٨ تشرين الثاني/ نوفمبر ١٩٩٥.

This statement was to be delivered by the Permanent Representative of Egypt, Ambassador Nabil Elaraby, in his capacity as Chairman of the Arab Group for November, but circumstances dictated otherwise.

The Council began its consideration of the item and heard statements by the representatives of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and Egypt, and by the representative of the Sudan, speaking in his capacity as Chairman of the Group of Arab States at the United Nations for the month of November, on behalf of the States members of LAS and on behalf of the Sudan.
وبدأ المجلس نظره في البند، واستمع الى بيانين أدلى بهما ممثلا الجماهيرية العربية الليبية ومصر، وإلى بيان أدلى به ممثل السودان، الذي تكلم، بصفته رئيسا لمجموعة الدول العربية في اﻷمم المتحدة عن شهر تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر، بالنيابة عن الدول اﻷعضاء في جامعة الدول العربية وباسم السودان.

40. The Security Council met on 19 April 2004, at the request of the Permanent Representative of Egypt in his capacity as Chairman of the Group of Arab States for the month of April (see S/2004/303).

In my capacity as Chairman of the Coordinating Bureau of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, I have the honour to convey the Movement’s support for the request made by the representative of the Sudan, in his capacity as Chairman of the Group of Arab States, that the fifty-second session of the General Assembly should be resumed for the purpose of considering agenda item 36, entitled “Question of Palestine”.
يشرفني، بصفتي رئيسا لمكتب تنسيق حركة بلدان عدم الانحياز أن أعرب عن تأييد الحركة لطلب ممثل السودان بصفته رئيسا لمجموعة الدول العربية والمتعلق باستئناف الدورة الثانية والخمسين للجمعية العامة بغرض النظر في البند ٣٦ من جدول اﻷعمال المعنون " قضية فلسطين " .

51. As Chairman of the Group of Arab States for 1999, Lebanon believed that it was essential to strengthen and streamline the strategies of the United Nations system relating to the culture of communications and to improve the effectiveness of United Nations media, both conventional (press, radio and television) and more modern ones such as the Internet and web sites.
51 - ومضى قائلا إن لبنان، بصفته رئيسا لمجموعة الدول العربية لتشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 1999، يشدد على أنه لا بد من تعزيز وترشيد استراتيجيات منظومة الأمم المتحدة المتعلقة بثقافة الاتصالات وزيادة فعالية وسائل الإعلام الخاصة بالمنظمة، سواء التقليدية منها (الصحافة والإذاعة والتلفزيون) أو الحديثة كالإنترنت وغيرها.

33. At the request of the Permanent Representative of the Sudan, in his capacity as Chairman of the Arab Group for the month of September 2003 (S/2003/880), the Security Council met on 15 and 16 September 2003.
33 - وبناء على طلب مقدم من الممثل الدائم للسودان بوصفه رئيسا لمجموعة الدول العربية لشهر أيلول/سبتمبر 2003 (S/2003/880) اجتمع مجلس الأمن يومي 15 و 16 أيلول/سبتمبر 2003.

42. The Security Council met on 13 July 2006, at the requests of the Permanent Representative of Algeria, in his capacity as Chairman of the Arab Group for the month of June 2006, and on behalf of the States members of the League of Arab States (see S/2006/458), and the Permanent Representative of Qatar (see S/2006/462).
