Due to the extraordinary and urgent nature of the situation, my delegation concurred in the request for this meeting made by the Chairman of the Group of Arab States and the Chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement.

After the submission by the Secretary-General of the report requested under General Assembly resolution ES-10/2, the tenth emergency session was resumed on 15 July 1997 at the request of the Permanent Representative of Egypt, in his capacity as Chairman of the Group of Arab States for the month of July 1997.

In pursuance of General Assembly resolution ES-10/5 of 17 March 1998, the emergency special session was resumed on 5 February 1999 at the request of the Permanent Representative of Jordan, in his capacity as Chairman of the Group of Arab States for the month of January 1999.

48. The Security Council met again on 3 May 2002 at the request of the Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of the Sudan, in his capacity as Chairman of the Group of Arab States for the month of May 2002 (S/2002/510).
48 - واجتمع مجلس الأمن من جديد في 3 أيار/مايو 2002 بناء على طلب القائم بالأعمال بالنيابة لبعثة السودان الدائمة، بصفته رئيس مجموعة الدول العربية لشهر أيار/مايو 2002 (S/2002/510).

In my capacity as Chair of the Group of Arab States for the month of April 2010, I wish, on behalf of the States members of the Group, to draw your urgent attention to the serious matter of the Israeli desecration of the Ma'man Allah (Mamilla) Cemetery, a Muslim cemetery in Jerusalem.
