In its resolution 12/15, the Council requested OHCHR to hold a workshop on regional arrangements for the promotion and protection of human rights on a regular basis and to convene the next one in the first semester of 2010 to allow further sharing information and concrete proposals on ways and means to strengthen cooperation between the United Nations and regional arrangements.
23- طلب المجلس في قراره 12/15 إلى مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان أن تعقد بصورة منتظمة حلقة عمل بشأن الترتيبات الإقليمية لتعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان وأن تدعو إلى عقد حلقة العمل القادمة في النصف الأول من عام 2010 بغية مواصلة تقاسم المعلومات وتقديم مقترحات ملموسة بشأن سبل ووسائل تعزيز التعاون بين الأمم المتحدة والترتيبات الإقليمية.

17. Requests the Secretary-General to submit to the Commission at its fiftyninth session a report on the state of regional arrangements for the promotion and protection of human rights, to formulate concrete proposals and recommendations on ways and means to strengthen cooperation between United Nations and regional arrangements in the field of human rights and to include therein the results of action taken in pursuance of the present resolution;

The meeting brought together non-governmental organizations in the region to exchange experiences in working for older persons and discuss ways and means to enhance cooperation between Governments and non-governmental organizations for older persons.
وضم الاجتماع المنظمات غير الحكومية في المنطقة لتبادل الخبرات فيما بينها فيما يتعلق بالعمل لصالح كبار السن ومناقشة سبل ووسائل تعزيز التعاون بين الحكومات والمنظمات غير الحكومية العاملة لمنفعة المسنين.

The Council noted that the General Assembly will consider, in appropriate intergovernmental consultations, ways and means to enhance cooperation between the United Nations and all relevant partners, in particular the private sector, during its fifty-sixth session, pursuant to General Assembly resolution 55/215 of 21 December 2000.
ولاحظ المجلس أن الجمعية العامة ستنظر، في إطار المشاورات الحكومية الدولية المناسبة، في سبل ووسائل تعزيز التعاون بين الأمم المتحدة وكافة الشركاء المعنيين، ولا سيما القطاع الخاص، أثناء دورتها السادسة والخمسين، وذلك عملاً بقرار الجمعية العامة 55/215 المؤرخ 21 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2000.
