48. The Working Group would like to thank the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic for its replies to an urgent appeal transmitted on 20 December 2012, providing information regarding the results of the police investigations on the case of Mr. Somphone.
48- يود الفريق العامل أن يوجه شكره إلى حكومة جمهورية لاو الديمقراطية الشعبية على رديها على النداء العاجل المحال إليها في 20 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2012، وعلى المعلومات التي قدمتها بشأن نتائج تحقيقات الشرطة في حالة السيد سومباث سومفون.

While thanking the Government for its replies to the communications concerning Sombath Somphone, the Working Group reiterates its deep concern about his safety and integrity and encourages the Government to continue its investigations into the case and keep the Working Group informed thereof.
82- يعرب الفريق العامل عن شكره للحكومة لردودها على الرسائل المتعلقة بسومبات سومفون لكنه يكرر مجدداً الإعراب عن قلقه إزاء أمنه وسلامته، ويشجع الحكومة على مواصلة تحقيقاتها في القضية وإبقاء الفريق العامل على علم بها.

On 16 December 2013, the Working Group issued a press release urging the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to increase its efforts to investigate the enforced disappearance on 15 December 2012 of Sombath Somphone.
51- وفي 16 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2013، أصدر الفريق العامل نشرة صحفية يحث فيها حكومة جمهورية لاو الديمقراطية الشعبية على مضاعفة جهودها للتحقيق في الاختفاء القسري لسومبات سومفون في 15 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2012().

Similarly, ICJ expressed concern that to date, no suspects had been identified and no formal investigation or criminal proceedings had been initiated by prosecutor against any persons allegedly responsible for the enforced disappearance of Sombath Somphone.
وبالمثل، أعربت لجنة الحقوقيين الدولية عن قلقها لأنه لم يعثر حتى الآن على أي أشخاص مشتبه فيهم، ولأن المدعي العام لم يفتح أي تحقيق رسمي ولم يباشر في أي إجراءات جنائية ضد أي أشخاص يزعم أنهم مسؤولون عن اختفاء سومباث سومفون قسراً(20).
