Mr. Sermoneta (Israel): We deeply regret that the Second Committee has once again become a political platform for advancing one-sided, unbalanced and inaccurate information regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

106. Mr. Sermoneta (Israel), speaking in exercise of the right of reply, regretted that the representative of the Syrian Arab Republic had seen fit to politicize the Committee's consideration of the agenda item.

47. Mr. Sermoneta (Israel) said that Israel attached high priority to the fight against corruption, including the transfer of funds of illicit origin and the funnelling of public funds and donor money to private hands.

27. Mr. Sermoneta (Israel) said that his delegation was disappointed that such a politicized text was being forced forward by its initiators since throughout negotiations it had been politicization that had held back consensus.
27 - السيد سيرمونيتا (إسرائيل): قال إن وفد بلده يشعر بخيبة الظن من أن مقترحي نص مسيّس مثل هذا يدفعونه قسرا إلى الأمام، وذلك بالنظر إلى أن التسييس هو الذي منع انعقاد توافق الآراء خلال المفاوضات كلها.

40. Mr. Sermoneta (Israel), speaking in explanation of vote before the voting, said that his delegation would be constrained to abstain from the vote on the draft resolution as a whole because of the amendment that had been introduced and adopted at that meeting.
40 - السيد سيرمونيتا (إسرائيل): تكلم تعليلا لتصويته قبل التصويت، فقال إن وفد بلده سيضطر إلى الامتناع عن التصويت على مشروع القرار ككل بسبب التعديل الذي قُدِّم واعتُمِد في تلك الجلسة.

64. Mr. Sermoneta (Israel) said the report before the Committee had been discussed during the substantive session of the Economic and Social Council less than four months previously. It did not reflect the reality either then or now.

72. Mr. Sermoneta (Israel), speaking in exercise of the right of reply, referred to the matter of the purchase of apples and said it was unfortunate that a confidence-building initiative had been totally misconstrued.

62. Mr. Sermoneta (Israel) reiterated Israel's strong support for the personnel of UNIFIL and the important work they were carrying out.

Mr. Sermoneta (Israel): I would like at the outset to note with satisfaction the fact that this year the Assembly is considering both the issue of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) and the causes of conflict in Africa in a joint debate.

Mr. Sermoneta (Israel): My delegation deeply regrets that the substantive debate in the Second Committee this year was once again used as a platform from which to level accusations against Israel and to adopt a draft resolution which is completely one-sided, inaccurate and, ultimately, counterproductive.

Mr. Sermoneta (Israel) speaking in exercise of the right of reply, said that the Committee was being used as a political platform to level false accusations against Israel and noted that no reference had been made during the discussions, or in the report to the brutal campaign of terrorism being waged against Israelis, with the complicity of senior Palestinian leaders.
30 - السيد سيرمونيتا (إسرائيل): تكلم في إطار ممارسة حق الرد فقال إن اللجنة تستخدم بوصفها منبراً سياسياً من أجل إطلاق اتهامات زائفة ضد إسرائيل ولاحظ أنه لم ترد أي إشارة خلال المناقشات ولا في التقرير إلى حملة الإرهاب الوحشية التي تشن على إسرائيل بتواطؤ من كبار الزعماء الفلسطينيين.

Mr. Sermoneta (Israel): Israel is dismayed that the substantive debate in the Second Committee has yet again devolved into a forum for passing unbalanced resolutions motivated by politicized interests which are one-sided, misleading and unproductive.
السيد سيرمونيتا (إسرائيل) (تكلم بالانكليزية): تعرب إسرائيل عن استيائها لأن المناقشة الموضوعية التي جرت في اللجنة الثانية قد تحولت مرة أخرى إلى منتدى لتمرير قرارات غير متوازنة تدفعها مصالح سياسية أحادية الجانب ومضللة وغير منتجة.

Mr. Sermoneta (Israel), speaking in exercise of the right of reply, said that the so-called civilian building mentioned was in fact known to be a weapons factory and storehouse and that terrorists had admitted being trained at that and other facilities in the Syrian Arab Republic with a view to committing atrocities.
108 - السيد سيرمونيتا (إسرائيل): تكلم ممارسة لحق الرد فقال إن ما سمي مبنى سكنيا أشير إليه قصد به في الواقع أن يكون مصنعا للأسلحة ومخزنا لها، وإن الإرهابيين اعترفوا بأنهم دُربوا في ذلك المكان ومرافق غيره في الجمهورية العربية السورية بقصد ارتكاب أعمال وحشية.

10. Mr. Sermoneta (Israel) said that the draft resolution, adopted annually, did not advance the prospects for peace or truly attempt to deal with shared natural resources, which had always been an issue negotiated bilaterally between parties to a conflict.
10 - السيد سيرمونيتا (إسرائيل): قال إن مشروع القرار هذا الذي يُعتَمَد في كل سنة ولا يفتح آفاقاً للسلم ولا يستهدف حقاً معالجة مسألة الموارد الطبيعية المشتركة التي هي على الدوام مسألة ينبغي التفاوض بشأنها على الصعيد الثنائي بين أطراف النزاع.
