23. During the reporting period, the Committee adopted general comments Nos. 4 and 5 on adolescent health and development in the context of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and on general measures of implementation for the Convention on the Rights of the Child, respectively.

665. At its 864th meeting, held on 19 May 2003, the Committee discussed its future general comment on " adolescent health and development in the context of the Convention on the Rights of the Child " and its future general comment on " General measures of implementation " .

In the light of its general comment No. 4 (2003) on adolescent health and development in the context of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Committee recommends that the State party:

In particular, the Committee has adopted two general comments that have major economic, social and cultural dimensions - the first, on " adolescent health and development in the context of the Convention on the Rights of the Child " (CRC/GC/2003/4) and the second, on the " General measures of implementation for the Convention on the Rights of the Child " (CRC/GC/2003/5).

Therefore, the Committee recommends that States parties provide adolescents with disabilities with adequate, and where appropriate, disability specific information, guidance and counselling and fully take into account the Committee's general comments No. 3 (2003) on HIV/AIDS and the rights of the child and No. 4 (2003) on adolescent health and development in the context of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The Committee recommends that the State party, taking into account the Committee's general comment No. 4 (CRC/GC/2003/4) on adolescent health and development in the context of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, increase its efforts to establish more programmes and services in the area of adolescent health and to obtain valid data on adolescent health concerns through, inter alia, studies on this issue.
441- توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف بأن تضاعف جهودها لوضع المزيد من البرامج وتقديم المزيد من الخدمات في مجال صحة المراهقين وأن تجمع بيانات صحيحة عن الشواغل المتعلقة بصحة المراهقين بوسائل من بينها إجراء دراسات حول هذه القضية، مراعية في ذلك تعليق اللجنة العام رقم 4 بشأن صحة المراهقين ونموهم في إطار اتفاقية حقوق الطفل (الوثيقة CRC/GC/2003/4).
