UNODC cooperated with UNICEF, OHCHR and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence against Children in developing draft model strategies and practical measures for the elimination of violence against children in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice, pursuant to General Assembly resolution 68/189.

During the reporting period, UNODC supported important normative developments in the areas of crime prevention and criminal justice reform: the revision of the Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners and the development of model strategies and practical measures for the elimination of violence against children in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice.
