The Government regretted the fact that the mandate holders had issued predetermined positions against the Government and had joined the unfair campaign of propaganda against the Syrian Arab Republic led by armed groups and unfriendly countries.
وأبدت الحكومة أسفها لأن المكلفين بولايات أصدروا أحكاماً مسبقة ضدها وانضموا إلى حملة دعائية ظالمة ضد الجمهورية العربية السورية تقودها الجماعات المسلحة والبلدان غير الصديقة.

In 2004, in breach of the principles of international trade and of international law, the United States of America had taken unilateral trade measures against the Syrian Arab Republic which were still in force.

The members of the Non-Aligned Movement condemn the act of aggression committed by United States forces in Iraq against the Syrian Arab Republic on 26 October 2008, and express their deep concern over the negative consequences of that action for peace, security and stability in the Middle East.
