The Committee is also concerned that children born to Kenyan mothers abroad have to apply for citizenship and are given entry permits of limited duration only, while no such restrictions apply to children of Kenyan fathers born to non-Kenyan mothers.

Since the first educational reforms, which were introduced in 1956, with the aim of making schooling available to the children of every family throughout the country, irrespective of means, Tunisia began, in 1991, to set in motion a comprehensive educational reform programme, aimed especially at primary education and compulsory schooling.
