49- تعرّف الاتفاقية " الترتيبات التيسيرية المعقولة " بأنها التعديلات والترتيبات اللازمة والمناسبة والتي تكون هناك حاجة إليها في حالة محدّدة لكفالة تمتع الأشخاص المعوقين على أساس المساواة مع الآخرين بجميع حقوق الإنسان والحريات الأساسية وممارستها.

Reasonable accommodation is defined as follows: " `Reasonable accommodation'means necessary and appropriate modification and adjustments not imposing a disproportionate or undue burden, where needed in a particular case, to ensure to persons with disabilities the enjoyment or exercise on an equal basis with others of all human rights and fundamental freedoms " (art. 2).

The Committee further recalls that under article 2 of the Convention, " reasonable accommodation " means necessary and appropriate modification and adjustments not imposing a disproportionate or undue burden, where needed in a particular case, to ensure to persons with disabilities the enjoyment or exercise on an equal basis with others of all human rights and fundamental freedoms.

29. " (a) For the purpose of the present Convention, the term `discrimination on the basis of disability'shall mean any distinction, exclusion or restriction which has the purpose or effect of impairing or nullifying the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on a basis of equality with others, of all human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural, civil or any other field. "
