The Committee also addressed the issue of equality before the law and equal protection of the law more broadly and recommended that " the State party should review its legislation and administrative practices to ensure that all persons enjoy equality before the law as well as the equal protection of the law " (annex VI, sect. B, para. 12.2).
وتناولت اللجنة أيضاً قضية المساواة أمام القانون والحماية المتساوية للقانون على نحو أوسع نطاقاً وأوصت بأن " تستعرض الدولة الطرف قوانينها وممارستها الإدارية كي تضمن تمتع كافة الأشخاص بالمساواة أمام القانون والتمتع على قدم المساواة بحماية القانون " (المرفق السادس، الفرع باء، الفقرة 12-2).

According to articles 19 and 20 of the Constitution all citizens of the country equally enjoy the protection of the law and no official or authority is immune from prosecution if he/she commits a punishable offence.
وتنص المادتان 19 و20 من الدستور على أن جميع المواطنين في البلد يتمتعون على قدم المساواة بحماية القانون ولا يتمتع أي موظف أو سلطة بحصانة من الادعاء في حالة ارتكاب جريمة يعاقب عليها القانون.

وأكد القرار من جديد أن جميع العمال المهاجرين لهم الحق في التمتع على قدم المساواة بحماية القانون، بصرف النظر عن وضعهم كمهاجرين، وأن بلد المقصد ملزم بكفالة احترام حقوق الإنسان المتعلقة بالعمل، بغض النظر عن وضعهم القانوني.

9.7 As to the alleged violation of article 26 of the Covenant, in that the author was denied the right to equal protection of the law against discrimination, the Committee considers that this claim is insufficiently substantiated, for purposes of admissibility, and is thus inadmissible under article 2 of the Optional Protocol.
9-7 وعن الانتهاك المزعوم للمادة 26 من العهد، ومفاده أن صاحب البلاغ حُرم الحق في التمتع على قدم المساواة بحماية القانون من التمييز، ترى اللجنة أن هذا الادعاء لا تسنده أدلة كافية لأغراض المقبولية، وهو من ثم غير مقبول بمقتضى المادة 2 من البروتوكول الاختياري.

6. The authors were thus deprived of their entitlement to inclusion in the list in violation of their article 26 right, as " qualifying prisoners " , to equality of treatment and the equal protection of the law.
وعليه، حُرِم صاحبا البلاغ بالتالي من حقهما في أن يُدرَج اسماهما في القائمة وانتُهِك الحق الذي تكفله لهما المادة 26 بالمساواة في المعاملة والتمتع على قدم المساواة بحماية القانون على اعتبار أنهما " مستوفيان لشروط الإفراج المبكر عنهما " .

According to the articles under this chapter all citizens of the country, both men and women, regardless of ethnic and religious background ,equally enjoy the protection of the law and enjoy all rights including political, economic, social, and cultural rights.
وتنص المواد الواردة تحت هذا الفصل على أن جميع مواطني البلد، رجالاً ونساءً، وبغض النظر عن خلفيتهم الإثنية والدينية، يتمتعون على قدم المساواة بحماية القانون ويتمتعون بجميع الحقوق بما فيها الحقوق السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية.
