:: " Omani " shall mean any person of Omani nationality in accordance with the Omani Nationality Law.
" عماني " تعني أي شخص عماني الجنسية بموجب قانون الجنسية العماني.

It is clear from the above that the right to stand for elections to the Shura Council is guaranteed to each Omani man and woman without discrimination on grounds of origin, colour, gender or religion once the above conditions are fulfilled.
ويتضح من هذه المادة أن الحق في الترشح لعضوية مجلس الشورى هو حق مكفول لكل عماني وعمانية دون تمييز بسبب الأصل أو اللون أو الجنس أو الدين متى توافرت الشروط السالفة الذكر.

271. A certificate of good health is a prerequisite for both partners in the case of marriage between an Omani man or woman and a nonOmani.

1. The applicant must be of Omani nationality;
١ - أن يكون طالب الترخيص عماني الجنسية.

- Muhammad Ahmad al-Harithi (Omani nationality) -- Fugitive from justice, sentenced to death in absentia;

- The applicant shall be an Omani national;
- أن يكون طالب الترخيص عماني الجنسية.

(a) Be of original Omani nationality, in accordance with the law;
(أ) أن يكون عماني الجنسية بصفة أصلية طبقا للقانون.

The fifth, sixth and seventh defendants were sentenced to 1 month's imprisonment for violating the Omani Labour Code. The thirteenth defendant was sentenced to 3 months' imprisonment for violating the Aliens' Residence Act.
وقد حكم على المتهم الثاني والثالث والثامن والحادي عشر بغرامة مالية مقدارها 100 ريال عماني نتيجة مخالفتهم لقانون العمل العماني، أما المتهمون الخامس والسادس والسابع فقد حكم عليهم بالسجن لمدة شهر نتيجة مخالفتهم لقانون العمل العماني.

Section 229 of the Omani Penal Law provides that: whoever trades in drugs shall be punished with imprisonment for 3 to 10 years and a fine of RO 300 to 500 and shall be punished with the same punishment as someone who possesses drugs with the intention of providing them to others or facilitating their use.
234- نصت المادة 229 من قانون الجزاء العماني على أنه: " يعاقب بالسجن من ثلاث سنوات إلى عشرة وبالغرامة من ثلاثمائة إلى خمسمائة ريال عماني كل من تاجر بالمواد المخدرة " .

(2) He should be of Omani nationality;
٢ - أن يكون عماني الجنسية.

(b) The right to vote: Article 2 of the Elections Regulations of the Shura Council (a representative council) issued by Ministerial Decree No. 26/2003 provides that the right to elect members of the Shura Council is guaranteed for any Omani:
(ب) حق الاقتراع: نصت المادة 2 من اللائحة التنظيمية لانتخابات مجلس الشورى مجلس نيابي الصادرة بالقرار الوزاري رقم 26/2003 على أن لكل عماني الحق في انتخاب أعضاء مجلس الشورى إذا توافرت فيه الشروط الآتية:

(c) Right to stand for election: Article 10 of the above-mentioned regulation states that every Omani may stand for elections to the Shura Council if he/she:
(ج) حق الترشح: نصت المادة 10 من اللائحة السالفة الذكر على أنه يجوز لكل عماني الترشح لعضوية مجلس الشورى إذا توافرت فيه الشروط التالية:

Of close to 2.4 million people, 1.8 million are Omani (and of 1.1 million under age 18 years, close to 1 million are Omani).
ومن بين ما يقرب من 2.4 مليون نسمة، هناك 1.8 مليون عماني (ومن بين 1.1 مليون نسمة دون سن 18 سنة هناك نحو 1 مليون من أصل عماني).

14. At current prices, gross domestic product (GDP) in 2010 was 22.773 billion Omani riyals (RO), with an annual growth rate of 22.7 per cent. GDP per capita was RO 7,775.
14- يقدر الناتج المحلي الإجمالي بالأسعار الجارية (22.773) مليار ريال عماني سنة 2010 بمعدل نمو سنوي بلغ (22.7 في المائة) في عام 2010 كما بلغ نصيب الفرد من إجمالي الدخل القومي (7.775) ريالاً عمانياً.

If such acts are committed at a gathering or celebration, the punishment shall be a term of imprisonment not exceeding three months or a fine not exceeding RO 300.
وإذا ارتكب الفعل في مجتمع أو حفل، كانت العقوبة السجن الذي لا تزيد مدته على ثلاثة شهور، أو الغرامة التي لا تزيد على ثلاثمائة ريال عماني.
