Decides to consider at its forty-ninth session, in the light of the outcome of the discussion of the report of the Secretary-General on effective planning, budgeting and administration of peace-keeping operations, 4/ the question of the establishment of the financial period of the United Nations Protection Force;
١٢ - تقرر أن تنظر خلال دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين، على ضوء نتائج مناقشة تقرير اﻷمين العام عن تخطيط وميزنة وإدارة عمليات حفظ السلم بصورة فعالة)٤(، في مسألة تحديد الفترة المالية لقوة اﻷمم المتحدة للحماية؛

1. The present report is submitted in response to General Assembly resolution 47/218 B of 14 September 1993, in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to submit a comprehensive report on all issues which affect the successful operation and administration of peace-keeping operations.
١ - هذا التقرير مقدم استجابة لقرار الجمعية العامة ٤٧/٢١٨ باء المؤرخ ١٤ أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٣، الذي طلبت فيه الجمعية العامة إعداد تقرير شامل عن جميع القضايا التي تؤثر في تشغيل وإدارة عمليات حفظ السلم بصورة ناجحة.

The Advisory Committee believes that it would be more useful if the Committee would revert to this particular issue in the context of its examination of the report of the Secretary-General on the effective planning, budgeting and administration of peace-keeping operations (A/48/945).

The Committee intends to consider the Secretary-General's proposed revisions of the guidelines in the context of his report on effective planning, budgeting and administration of peace-keeping operations (A/48/945).

48. While it notes some of the changes indicated in the report and the additional clarification provided to it, the Committee intends to revert to the question of contracting for the services of international contractual personnel in the context of the report of the Secretary-General on effective planning, budgeting and administration of peace-keeping operations (A/48/945) and provide additional observation on this subject.
٨٤ - وفيما تلاحظ اللجنة بعض التغييرات المشار اليها في التقرير واﻹيضاحات اﻹضافية المقدمة اليها، فإنها تعتزم العودة الى مسألة التعاقد مع الموظفين التعاقدين الدوليين في سياق تقرير اﻷمين العام عن تخطيط وميزنة وإدارة عمليات حفظ السلم بصورة فعالة )A/48/945(، وتقديم ملاحظات إضافية عن هذا الموضوع.

Mr. TAKASU (Controller) introduced the reports of the Secretary-General on effective planning, budgeting and administration of peace-keeping operations (A/48/945 and Corr.1, and A/49/557), which addressed issues related to planning, budget, finance, implementation methods and procedures, personnel, equipment and supplies.
