٥-٤-١ يمكن اعتبار المنهجية المستخدمة لتحديد سفح المنحدر القاري عن طريق النقطة التي يحدث عندها أقصى تغير في الانحدار عند قاعدته مسألة ثنائية اﻷبعاد أو ثلاثية اﻷبعاد أيضا.

The Commission recognizes that the determination of the foot of the continental slope is achieved as a general rule by means of the point of maximum change in the gradient at its base.
٦-١-١ تقر اللجنة بأنه، كقاعدة عامة، يتم التوصل الى تحديد سفح المنحدر القاري عن طريق النقطة التي يحدث عندها أقصى تغير في الانحدار عند قاعدته.

٢-١-١٣ وحيث أن النقطة التي يحدث عندها أقصى تغير في الانحدار عند قاعدته تُعرف، كقاعدة عامة، موقع سفح المنحدر القاري، فإن اللجنة ملزمة بموجب هذا الحكم بفحص كل اﻷدلة اﻹضافية التي تقدمها دولة ساحلية لتعريف النقاط البديلة من أجل تحديد موقع سفح المنحدر القاري.

The determination of the location of the point of maximum change in the gradient at the base of the continental slope will be conducted by means of the mathematical analyses of two-dimensional profiles, three-dimensional bathymetric models and preferably both.
٥-٤-٧ وسيجري تحديد موقع النقطة التي يحدث عندها أقصى تغير في الانحدار عند قاعدة المنحدر القاري بواسطة التحليلات الرياضية للمقاطع الجانبية ذات البعدين والنماذج الباثيمترية الثلاثية اﻷبعاد، مع تفضيل استعمالهما معا.

5.4.8. The determination of the location of the point of maximum change in the gradient was envisaged originally by its proponent as a two-dimensional problem based on the mathematical analyses of two-dimensional bathymetric profiles (Hedberg, 1976).
٥-٤-٨ ومسألة تحديد موقع النقطة التي يحدث عندها أقصى تغير في الانحدار تصورها مقترحها أصلا علـى أنهـا مسألـة ذات بعديـن تعتمـد علـى تحليلات رياضية لمقاطع جانبية باثيمترية ذات بعدين (Hedberg, 1976).
